But without that understanding, your sensitivity is likely to be making your close relationships painful and complicated.

Story
This book is for men in relationships who want to embody more masculine energy. Men want to live with more power, groundedness, and clarity. Men who want to inspire more trust, lust, and devotion from their partner. But this is confusing territory. The modern world tells you that masculine energy is toxic. And that we’re all the same. That you need to be a "nice guy" who plays it safe. For most men, it is not at all clear how to live more from their masculine core.

Story
As women, we're expected to be sexy, but not sexual. We're bombarded with conflicting, shame-inducing, and disempowering messages about sex, instead of being encouraged to connect with our true sexual selves. Sexy gets reduced to a performance, leaving us with little to no space to reckon with the complexities of sexuality. In a culture intent on telling you who and how to be, standing in your truth is revolutionary.

Publisher's summary
Most of us long for intimate relationships, and though texting and emailing may keep us superficially connected, it ultimately cannot create the kind of intimacy necessary to sustain a deep, fulfilling, and lasting partnership. With the divorce rate reaching a staggering 50 percent in 2013 and the breakup rate among unmarried long-term couples even higher, it appears that the more we tweet, the more disconnected we become. So many of us believe that new is better, hotter, and more intense, but love at first sight isn't really love, it's chemistry. Developing the connections and intimacy that everyone craves takes time and skill.
In Partners in Passion, Michaels and Johnson provide listeners with a fun, step-by-step guide to discovering true, loving, and romantically sexual relationships that will last for decades. Comprehensive and inclusive, Partners in Passion is original and provocative, drawing on a variety of sources: cutting-edge science, psychology, the authors' background in tantra, and personal experiences as teachers and as a couple. Partners in Passion invites couples to design their relationships and to choose consciously, and is replete with how-to suggestions and exercises, including interviews with couples from diverse backgrounds, relationship styles, and orientations who are enjoying erotically vibrant partnerships.

Story
Sexual activity is central to our very existence; it shapes how we think, how we act and how we live. With advances in technology come machines that may one day think independently. What will happen to us when we form close relationships with these intelligent systems? Sex robots are here and here to stay, and more are coming. This audiobook explores how the emerging and future development of sexual companion robots might affect us and the society in which we live. It explores the social changes arising from emerging technologies and our relationships with the machines that may someday care for us and about us.

Non-biased, science based, all encompassing
Do not let the reviews of the narrator stop you from getting this book. This is one of the best books I have listened to on any subject and provides essential information for modern society in a non-judgemental, scholarly, easy to understand way.

Great Book ...not so great narration...
Would you try another book from Mark A. Michaels and Patricia Johnson and/or Jenifer Krist?
Michaels and Johnson Yes, Krist not so positive on!...does anyone else concur? I clicked on her name and was surprised at the number of books she has narrated...
What did you like best about this story?
Very realistic, helpful information
What didn’t you like about Jenifer Krist’s performance?
Krist is a good reader but voice sounds too shrill, monotonous, reads too fast...too much like just reading without knowledge of subjects...wish I could obtain this audiobook by a different narrator
Any additional comments?
My perspective comes from listening to a great number of Audible.com books every day during the long drive to and from work
