About this listen

All Devyn wants - besides a tall, fine husband and eventually a few babies to fulfill her "about to turn thirty, running out of time, cute black family" dreams - is to finish her yearlong internship at University Hospital. She's excited about the experience, eager to learn, glad to help wherever she can...it should be easy, right?

Well, it would be...if it weren't for arrogant, know-it-all, always-got-something-to-say Dr. Joseph Wright. Devyn can't stand him, and if his attitude is any indication, the feeling is mutual...or is it?

Joseph doesn't "do" doctors. Or nurses. Or patients. Or anybody else who has anything to do with the hospital, for that matter. University Hospital has infiltrated enough of his life, and the last thing he needs is a blurring of the lines between professional and private.

...Until smart, sexy, sassy Nurse Devyn Echols comes along, and stomps all over those lines. When you're pulling doubles with the person you hate to want so bad...something is bound to ignite.

Contains mature themes.

Christina C. Jones Has Done It Again

This was a quick and easy read. The story was entertaining and had me laughing through some parts. I’m back on the hunt for my next CCJ book. I swear once I start up her novels I can’t stop reading.

"The Pu$$y Doctor Is In"

I looooove a good secret romance and actually experienced that with my now husband of 7 years 😊. The thrill of having rendezvous that people in the office had no clue of was such a rush and served us well to not have anyone in our business.

Devyn and Joseph kept me in smiles with their back and forth banter and acting like they weren't feeling each other. That elevator scene of them bickering and the heat between them had me anticipating when their dam of lust was gonna break, and I was not disappointed. SIDE BAR: That candy scene at Devyns house and Joseph choking trynna be sexy was hilarious. I definitely could see that happening to my husband 😅.

Reading about all these successful black professionals was so great cause it focused more about their ambition and intelligence instead of all the various stereotypes that gets placed on us. I loved their family and friends dynamic and how they were always there for each other with words of wisdom and encouragement.

Malcolm had me wanting to throw my phone at the wall with his possessiveness and all the mess he kept saying to Devyn. I wished she went head to head with him more and didn't have moments of nervousness, BUT the way her brother Eric and Joseph put him in his place was just what THE DOCTOR ordered.

Thank you to the author for not letting the drama of their exes overshadow the relationship they were trying to cultivate. I appreciated the small level of drama that didn't turn into a shyt storm just to end in a HEA. Love doesn't always have to be a battlefield.

Lastly, kudos to Sean and Adenrele on bringing this book to life with their narrations. Loved it 💚 Now on to the last brother...can we get a book on Eric and Aviva. Inquiring minds want to know!

The absolute best!!

I just love these Wright men. This is my second audible book and I can't wait to hear Justin's story. I laughed out loud so many times that my fiance thought I was crazy. 😁

Funny, Romantic & Sweet!

This story was lighthearted and comical. Just enough to keep me interested but not too heavy on the drama. Not all romance novels have to end in marriage for the characters as long as they are together 😉💜!

Sooooo Cute yet Hot

As a nurse practitioner it was so very refreshing to see a poorly understood profession play a central role in green story. I wish there was a prologue but Brava
BTW
The J Wright brothers is one of many cleaver names

The Wright Brothers are the right brothers.

Enjoyed the book from start to finish. Although predictable it still keeps you on your toes.
