About this listen

The basic text of the SAA fellowship, Sex Addicts Anonymous explains sex addiction from the SAA perspective and demonstrates, through examples, how sex addiction worsens over time. It describes the personal powerlessness and unmanageability of sex addiction and the damage to personal relationships, livelihood, and physical health that is often caused by addictive behavior.

Sex Addicts Anonymous conveys a vision of hope for the addict through a recovery program based on the time-honored 12 Steps that were initially proposed for alcoholics. A separate section of the audiobook offers a variety of personal stories from individual members of the fellowship to illustrate the challenges and the hope of recovery.

The main portion of this edition of the audiobook is read by a male voice. The personal recovery stories are read by either a male or female voice.

Due to the nature of the subject matter, this audiobook is intended for mature audiences.

Essential Reading for any S Group Member

The male reading voice is a bit monotonous at times but the quality of the content outweighs that slight negative. First half of the book dives into more specifics of step work and the second half includes powerful testimonies from people in all walks of life. This book will give you hope, make you cry, and I’m already starting it over again. Whatever made you consider listening to this book, trust that it was for a reason and give it a try.

Some chapters sounds like a recruiting venture for the SAA program to the boys hooked on prostitutes, massage parlors, strip joints, TikTok, Pornhub, Instagram, or X. “Let’s get the boys on board brothers cause the SAA fellowship works! (with a wink)” Makes me want to blast it on stereo in red light districts, outside a strip joint, outside massage parlors, or the Las Vegas Strip. Some stories are disturbing and based on individual experiences from the 20th century. Published in 2019 but I feel this is a very old book.
