This is the first book l’ve read in this series. It was captivating to say the least. I feel that her storyline was a refreshingly new twist on the paranormal genre.

Okay. This is my first review after 3 other books.😊 I feel like narrator did a great job, I’m seeing alot of negative comments and honestly just feel some readers aren’t used to black voices. I applaud the writer for understanding that if your going to write a whole book from a black characters point of view, the least you can do is get a black voice.

I will admit, it took some getting used to when it came to other characters, but when I remember it was from a different point of view, I was just fine.

the narrator Mari is so much better than the books narrated by the other person. The other books narrator sounds nasally and very hard on the ears like scratching a chalk board
