It's definitely worth a credit but the story has been done before and this wasn't necessarily a stand out for me. That said it was entertaining-ish and pretty hot.

My only complaint is not all series is on Audible. what's not to love ... you have Lycan, vampires and evil humans who just want to destroy anything different!! My first but not last of Ms Snow! Audible make the rest of her books available!!

This book was much better because it had more storyline than the previous book. I Ike the falling in love aspect but need more going on in the story. The next book should be even better since the main character is a vampire. The narrators did a great job with characters.

As soon as Cian, a lycan, heard and then saw Evie on the phone as she was talking to her friend Dara, he knew she was his mate. He stopped at nothing to get to her in the US from Scotland. In the US, Adrian, a vampire and Cian, had a pissing contest even though they were going after the same group, the assembly, who hunted them. The group wanted to kidnap Evie to get to and control Cian. They called him a beast. I like how the vampires and lycans worked together for a common cause and am looking forward to Adrian's story. John Hartley and Stella Hunter did a very good job with the narration.

This is the 4th book in the Lycans series. I wouldn’t say this series is interconnected because you can listen to one book in the series and be completely fine as far as characters, plot and storyline goes but listening to all the books gives you the background on all the characters in the series so far.

I’ve actually listened to Bite Marks first (Lycans #5) (I think that one is my favorite so far- I love a psychotic vampire 😂) in this series then this one so now I’m gonna be going back to the beginning and will be listening to the rest of them. This is the story of Evelyn and Cian. Cian is a 250 year old Lycan shifter who is the 2nd in command in the guard the Scottish Lycan army. These men never stop the search for their mate. Evelyn feels kind of lost after her best friend Darragh leaves to go travel Scotland and discover more about her birth family prompting Evelyn to make some changes and go after the life she wants as well. When they are doing a video chat on the phone one day Evelyn happens to see Cian and bam the linked connection is started. Darragh tells Evie everything and she freaks out and run prompting Cian to go after her. I really enjoyed the plot, storyline and characters in this one. Darragh’s book is called The Hunger FYI.

One thing that I appreciated was that this story didn’t have the pregnancy trope at the end of the book. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind it but too many books in the romance genre have it (I think) so, it was nice to see them just happy and together at the end. The duet narration for this entire series is also excellent and it elevates the story in my opinion.

Evelyn and Cian are intense and deliciously steamy. The chemistry is electric, the drama taut and the sparks fiery as this fun story unfolds. A bit of danger and action brings some excitement and suspense to the table and all together it combines into a well crafted, sinfully good and irresistible romance. I felt the narrators delivered an amazing performance that made it super easy to get immersed into the book and become truly invested in the characters.

I really enjoyed this audio book. I thought Cian and Evelyn were great, just reading the book, but John Hartley and Stella Hunter took these two characters to another level. John Hartley and Stella Hunter did a wonderful job with this book. You wont' want to stop listening to this book! I would recommend recommend this audio book. Below is my e-book review.
Oh man! I have been waiting for this book and boy was it worth the wait! I loved Cain and Evelyn's story. This book had me hook through the entire thing and made adulting difficult for a bit. Not only was there a lot of steam, chemistry and connection but also suspense, intrigue and a great HEA! I can't wait to see what Ms. Jenika has in store for us next! I would recommend this book, this series, and Ms. Jenika as an awesome author.
