Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him...as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience.

So I’m not at all into BDSM in my real life but I sure as heck love “reading/listening” about it. But good heavens, all the spanking drove me crazy. There are 2 more books so I guess If I have nothing else to listen to maybe I can hope the story gets better?
I wouldn't waste a good credit though...
I guess is you have nothing else...

Is there anything you would change about this book?
This book is good for what it's worth and so, I wouldn't change much but I would definitely take out the rape scenes.Has The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty turned you off from other books in this genre?
It has not. If anything it has helped me find more that are better than this.Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes it did but I think they could have found a male narrator to do the male voices. If this book were a movie would you go see it?
That depends on whether it was rated r or xxx.Any additional comments?
The writer of Fifty Shades must have read or listened to this prior to writing Fifty Shades because they are many similarities. The original Fifty Shades

Would you try another book from Anne Rice and/or Genvieve Bevier and Winthrop Eliot ?
Maybe, but not in combination. What do you think your next listen will be?
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. What didn’t you like about Genvieve Bevier and Winthrop Eliot ’s performance?
The story that she was reading felt like a private matter. I had trouble listening to such sexual content read in someone elses voice. It felt like she was an additional intruder in a storyline where even I (the reader) felt like I should stop listening to these characters shame.Did The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty inspire you to do anything?
Not appropriate to discuss here.Awkward!

Pulled up the Series page, big letters UNABRIDGED...bought the trio I already own in print version and 'guess what!' They are all ABRIDGED. This did not improve the books, SO DISAPPOINTED. The Printed books are MUCH better, these are kind of pathetic...
Buyer Beware...ABRIDGED!
