About this listen

Corruption runs rampant even in a not-so-distant future where the biggest lottery is rigged so that the only winners are rich and white.

In a world that has been ravaged by a destructive alien attack, an opportunity for a lifetime of riches in exchange for serving as consort to one of the alien defenders is indeed a great prize. Down on her luck, Karma will be the first Black consort, despite believing that being an alien's whore is only slightly better than being one for humans.

Consorts and aliens

Karma was living in survival mode. Her chance to get out of the poverty she lived by being forced to take the place of a consort was a no-brainer. If she refused, she would be dead, so she leaped at the chance. It was an eye-opening event for Karma. Her mated Galatian consort Rafe Sigur also learned some things from her. They both learned from each other. Rafe learned that the Galatain Consort exchange was riffed with embezzlement and poor management. Karma was just thrown into the consortium and had to learn from the bottom. Her relationship with sister consort Madeline proved to be helpful. All in all, Karma never forgot where she came from and was determined to share her fortune with the poor. But there are many things that both Rafe and Karma have to learn about each other's culture.

I first read this story through Kindle Vella. I am glad the author is making it available in ebook form. The narrators Simone Rothschild and Steven Jay Cohen did an excellent job of making the story come to life. I'm looking forward to future books.,

Great story

I really enjoyed this. I hope they do two and three soon. I'd love it if they also did Adaptation 2 while they're at it.

Artfully Presented-

I love the message in this intergalactic romance - how it not only touches on the differences of culture and class but in how it brings those differences together to create a oneness and unity that really can’t be achieved without honoring and respecting each others value and experience.
I also really love the partnership used in the narration - it was artfully executed
Looking forward to the next book in the series

Enchanting

I thought I wasn’t an Audible Fan but I knew I was definitely a Pepper Pace Fan. When heard her Vella story was now on Audible I was in…it was everything and more. The storytellers were amazing and the story came to life right in my living room. I will absolutely get book 2 of The Galatian Exchange…it was an amazing story.

The Performance enhanced a great story.

The voice performances did an incredible job bringing the story from the kindle vella realm to the audience on the go. I am so happy, I can hear Rafe’s and Karma’s story while I travel, as well as listen to some of my favorite parts of the series over and over again. Such as Karma informing Dorf he was bad or Karma reading the consorts. Looking forward to the next audible book in the series.
