super dooper short, i liked the passion that was packed into a 20 minute listen!
id be more than happy to listen to another one of these. i liked the storyline, no real world building because there isnt time but the narration was good and fit the storyline quite easily.

I like the whole idea of a ship going out on a 3 year voyage. I guess I would love to see a book about the sci-fi and after it was written mention that there was mature themes.

This futuristic novella sees humans needing to reformulated while in outer space. The chosen ones get to explore sex with many to decide which person is the best fit. This short book is very steamy. Anastasia Lynne did a great job with the audio.

   This is a good beginning of a serial story.  This particular story is the start of a lovely little steamy romance between a man and woman in their 20s on a colony ship.  I wonder if the future books in the series have more than one love interest.  The ship has just started off on its mission to journey for over a century to another planet to save humanity from dying out from Earth’s climate change and pollution.  The only tiny gripe I have about the story is that more genetic variety than 100 people would be necessary to populate a planet.

 
   The narration was very good.  The single narrator Anastasia Lynne gave a solid performance with very good pacing, character voices, emoting, and steamy love scenes.


   I requested and received a free audiobook copy from the narrator, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

The Lottery is the first book in the Mission X series by Skylar Vance. In this series, the earth is on the brink of self-destruction. In an effort to continue the human race, an interstellar mission has been organized consisting of 100 selected individuals who will repopulate the race over a number of generations and a 150 year journey. In this installment we are introduced to Kari, a young botanist who is among the first to meet her lottery chosen partner. Will they have just a physical relationship or is there a possibility of something more?

This was a short, explicitly sexy, approximately 30 minute, listen. It was interesting and set a nice stage for the series. The author packed a lot in a very short time and provided the basics of the series storyline. I enjoyed listening to this story and imagine the upcoming installments will build on the other characters in this world. The listener should just be aware that these are really more short stories than full novellas or novels. Recommended for those looking for a quick sexy listen.

The narrator, Anastasia Lynne, did an excellent job narrating this story. Her voice was pleasant and easy to listen to. I enjoyed listening to her and will look for her for other books.

plot built on a plausible theme, good buildup, only half an hour/ like 4 chapters so leaves you wanting the rest of the book... it's a good start though!

This is the short first short I've ever listened to. if you are the type of person who wants a little bit of content, then nothing but sex scenes this is the book for you. I could see the potential for the series. Having not listened to any more of the books as this was given to me free for a review. the first thing that came to mind when I finish it was meh. It wasn't poorly written but definitely written and sounding more teenager to me than someone in their 20s.
