this was a nice story. it could have been longer though. if it was double the length it would have been perfect. more detail and time taken would have been great. the narrators were perfect. I love that this was a duet. I recommend this book. it was simple and quick. HEA

For what it is… this is pretty good. Complete beginning, middle, and end. I forgot it was just a novella so color me surprised when everything started “so soon”. But I loved all the water polo content and all the other water content ;) I definitely will be reading more

This was my first book by B. Sobjakken I read it in May of 2024 and it was the book that started my obsession with her books so for it to come out on audio first out of all her amazing books seemed like fate and I knew I had to listen as soon as possible and I was not disappointed!! If you like forbidden sports romance then you will love Sage and Fallon.

Sage is a freshman in college and when she shows up to her first day of water polo practice she is surprised to see her teenage crush is her new coach. Will they get their happy ending or will their sneaking around catch up to them?

Avery Caris and Sean Masters really brought this spicy novella to life in the most perfect way and I highly recommend this audiobook. I really hope we see more of Sage and Fallon sometime, a novella is just not enough of these two.

The title of this story is treading water. A technique to keep your head above water while swimming. Water polo as a sport is demanding and challenging. Sage is an Olympic hopeful whose crush on her coach turns into a ‘sink or tread’ situation. Luckily her supportive and much older coach and decorated Olympian will do anything to support her. This forbidden romance spans two years of their lives together and treading to keep distance but remain committed.

The dual audio performance was well done. Both voices conveyed tension, heartfelt warmth and growth of the characters to overcome their obstacles. This audiobook was short which appealed to me as a busy mom. I found myself anticipating my quiet commute filled with this hopeful HEA.
