Overall great story. The author did a fabulous job developing these characters. Unfortunately I was so over these two having sex every chapter that I skipped all of those scenes. I never did find their romance all that satisfying. Still, the story was great. I’d read more from this author.

I agree with other reviewers about the annoying FMC. Her immaturity at very unsafe times is unbelievable. No actual adult would be so careless so it feels forced. There’s also lots of repetition. In spite of these things, the storytelling is great and it’s easy to root for the characters.

Story
Frank Szatowski is shocked when his daughter, Maggie, calls him for the first time in three years. He was convinced that their estrangement would become permanent. He’s even more surprised when she invites him to her upcoming wedding in New Hampshire. Frank is ecstatic, and determined to finally make things right. He arrives to find that the wedding is at a private estate—very secluded, very luxurious, very much out of his league. It seems that Maggie failed to mention that she’s marrying Aidan Gardner, the son of a famous tech billionaire.

This book was the right amount of intrigue and humanity. I don’t normally identify with a male mc but I did with this one, probably because of his parental hope.

This author tells a wonderful story and I like the female MC. I couldn’t stand Alex. He grossed me out in a number of ways. His character was also the least developed and the most cliched. There is a line where possessiveness becomes controlling and he crossed it constantly. He just wasn’t a very believable character.
