About this listen

Don't miss the highly anticipated final installment of the steamy romantasy series everyone on BookTok is talking about!

After Lor makes the biggest mistake of her life, she finds herself on the run from the Aurora King and decides it's time to end this, once and for all. When a new enemy emerges to claim her freedom, the entire fate of Ouranos comes to rest on her shoulders.

As the land continues to rebel, Lor must admit she is the key to saving the continent, whether she likes it or not. To fight for Nadir, she must lie, steal, and do whatever it takes to hunt down the remaining arks. Growing more and more desperate, she worries her actions are turning her into something she doesn't recognize, dooming her to repeat her grandmother's mistakes.

When the Aurora King finally comes for her, Lor ventures into the Underworld's shadowy depths, where, once again, she finds herself at the heart of another deadly test. Only this time, she's competing for everyone's future, not just a crown.

The only thing Lor ever wanted was to be free, but she may soon find she was always destined for a cage.

This was everything I wanted in this final book. My only wish is for more details on the after. Otherwise, it was an excellent end to an addictive series.

I love this series as a whole, and Tale of the Heart Queen was a great conclusion to the story. Nadir and Lor’s journey has been incredible to follow, and I was so invested in them—I truly wanted things to work out for them. This book had so many twists and turns, and the finale was epic. I also loved the strong found family aspect, and the ending felt like the best possible way to wrap up the series.

That said, this book was much more plot-heavy than the previous ones, which made me feel less connected to the characters at times. Fate of the Sun King was my favorite because it felt so focused on their relationship, whereas here there was so much happening that the emotional depth between them didn’t hit quite as hard for me. The book was also significantly longer, and while I understand why with so many storylines needing to be wrapped up, I did feel like certain sections could have been trimmed without losing anything essential.

Still, I truly enjoyed this finale, and Lor remains such an incredible FMC. The journey throughout this series has been unforgettable, and while I wish this book had been slightly more character-driven, it was a satisfying, action-packed conclusion to an amazing series.

A gripping ending to this series

I am so glad I read this series! I appreciate that the author didn’t have them separated the majority of the book; that sort of thing drives me crazy! Overall the story was intriguing and kept me entertained the entire time. Great read’

I can’t remember the last time i cheered for every single character to get what they deserve. This series has had me in a chokehold. Lor is a reliable character to follow through out this story, even when she messes up she owns it and does what she needs to. to keep the story moving. There was never a moment that i felt bored during any of these four books. These books do have spicy parts i would say in comparison to what is out there maybe 2.5 chili peppers but written well.

If you haven’t started this series please do. I’m sure you will love it.

my new favorite series

I was really pleased with how the end wrapped up and left no loose ends! Book 4 felt a but long and then the ending was action packed and had some surprises! I am glad I listened to the whole series.
