Story
Summoned to Rome by an old friend, a Jesuit scholar finds himself using a code discovered in the Bible to unearth an ancient, hidden chapel in the catacombs under the city. When a rogue force of Vatican security officials are alerted to his discovery, the priest flees to the Holy Land with a clue...a clue that will lead him and a team of Israeli Christians to a much larger secret in the middle of the barren Negev Desert.

This is a good vs evil tale. It moves at a slow pace which annoyed me at first but I ultimately found it relaxing. And I enjoyed the story.

Story
Under the direction of famed explorer Porter Stone, an archaeological team is secretly attempting to locate the tomb of an ancient pharaoh who was unlike any other in history. Stone believes he has found the burial chamber of King Narmer, the near mythical god-king who united upper and lower Egypt in 3200 B.C., and the archaeologist has reason to believe that the greatest prize of all - Narmer's crown - might be buried with him. No crown of an Egyptian king has ever been discovered, and Narmer's is the elusive crown of the two Egypts.

This was a very good story. I like the Jeremy Logan books. I liked this one too much. I couldn’t stop and so now it’s over and I wish it wasn’t. It is little mysterious and a little adventurous and very interesting . The narration is excellent and the story moved along at a good pace. Reminds me a bit of Indiana Jones. I definitely enjoyed this one.

This started out good. It caught and held my interest until about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way in. Then it became boring for me and I lost interest. I did finish it and I thought the end was weird too. I can't provide any more information without giving away some of the story and I won't do that. I hope you enjoy it more than I did. Oh, don't want to forget the narrator - he was excellent.

I enjoyed the Ice Limit. I also enjoyed this book - to a point. Then it became action, action, action. I had to bump it up to 1.5 to get through it. It is a good story, a good follow up to the Ice Limit. But a little too much action for my taste.

I just finished this. Sadly, it was so good I just zoomed right through it and now it's over. I wish it had lasted longer. I am familiar with the area the story takes place in, so I could easily visualize it and feel as if I were there. AND, the narration was fabulous. I don't think anyone could have done it better. Good story, good narration, no explicit gore or sex. It just pulled me in, and that's my idea of a good book.
