Story
Viv's career with the notorious mercenary company Rackam's Ravens isn't going as planned. Wounded during the hunt for a powerful necromancer, she's packed off against her will to recuperate in the sleepy beach town of Murk—so far from the action that she worries she'll never be able to return to it. What's a thwarted soldier of fortune to do? Spending her hours at a beleaguered bookshop in the company of its foul-mouthed proprietor is the last thing Viv would have predicted, but it may be both exactly what she needs and the seed of changes she couldn't possibly imagine.

Amazing writing
Reviewed: 12-30-23
I could say so much about this book but I don’t want to spoil a moment of it. Instead let me say this, who better to write me a book than the man who has read me hundreds of them. Travis sets us up in a cozy chair, brings us cookies and a steaming cup of coco. He then regales us with an an amazing tale slowing inching closer to us, as he whispers the last line to us he sticks the quill in our hearts and twists it and we are glad for the pain as we drift into the blackness

Story
Felix's life on Earth had become a series of dead-end jobs, ruined relationships, and rotating apartments smaller than most postage stamps. By all accounts, even his own, he was a coward. Too afraid to move forward, to take risks. Yet when given the chance to choose between risking his life or walking away from a deadly encounter, he didn't hesitate. Moments before his untimely demise, Felix was snatched from earth and thrust into a magical world known only as "The Continent". Empowered by the "System", he learns that he can strengthen himself through combat and dedication.

A nice shock from normal LITrpg
Reviewed: 05-09-22
Unbound has a relatively normal Isakai start that it almost instantly subverts by throwing the MC into the middle of no where with to exploit his otherworldly knowledge. As he learns the ins and outs of the system we see how much hard work and effort mattee in getting a foothold. And narrated as the always brilliant Travis Baldree. Can’t wait for more

Grant looks forward to the vast megalopolis that is the District of March. He’s finally got a real companion - not just a voice in his head pretending to kill him over and again - and Suki’s perspective is invaluable. She’s a Noble, a warrior, and a noble warrior. With two months of intense physical training under his much-tightened belt, Lord January is ready to face whatever his next challenge might be - and what’s more fun than games of chance? A bet no one would be willing to take.

Buying this book is no gamble, Dakota continues to flex his kingly writing prowess. Pairing it with the narration of Travis as always is an amazing combination.
If you enjoyed the previous two then this one doesn’t disappoint, Grant continues his march through the Monthly lands this time accompanied by the former lady February to a land where everywhere is a gamble and the house always wins

Story
A lord according to the system, Grant Monday has arrived in February. This place is the absolute opposite of January, and his largest challenge isn’t hostile Wielders. Instead, the new lord needs to face culture shock, contending with strange foods, stringent training, and a stomach-churning subrace of humans known as "Joggers". Grant chose the wrong time to try to take on the world: Every single citizen of February is a powerful body cultivator, and this year there has been a huge shift in the power dynamics of the District.

I am loving this series so far, Grant continues hunting down the monthly wielders, obviously February this time. Grant is faced with his greatest struggle yet. Being a fat man in a health junkie districted. As always Travis is a great pairing for any Cultivation novel, or well any novel, and does his continued excellent narration. The one big detractor is the length of the novel, if this was back in my more frugal days I wouldn't but it due to it being under 20 hours. Now I am more free with my audio purchases but people looking for a nice lengthy novel for their credit will sadly need to look elsewhere. Otherwise 10/10 love it

Digby Graves is done running. He wants to make good on his declaration of war, which means he’s going to need allies and a land to call his own. That’s where Las Vegas comes in: what better kingdom could a necromancer ask for than the city of Sin itself? With an opportunist turned kingpin, an army of fanatics, and a hive full of monsters standing in his way, the stakes have never been higher. It will take every spell and underhanded tactic in his arsenal to carve out a victory.

Really enjoyed this one, I do wish that it didn't start the way it did. The beginning scene while amazing had me scratching my head making me wonder what I missed, then it did a skip back. The upside is I was giddy with anticipation as we crept closer and closer to the end.

Story
Dungeon Walkers brave the depths of the dungeons for personal gain - clearing a dungeon means dungeon points to purchase gear with, but more importantly, perks. Perks are the main reason Walkers put their lives on the line. Every time a dungeon is cleared the first time, a Walker gets a choice of three perks that could change their lives. Not every Walker makes it out alive. When someone dies in the dungeon, their soul is fragmented into four shards, which can be purchased for dungeon points.

Great world and unique relationships
Reviewed: 06-13-21
I’ve always enjoyed the way Daniel tackles Poly relationships. You can feel all the love and respect they characters have
I also love how much attention and care he puts into building amazing worlds with each series
I would love to have a less relationship heavy series from him so I can explore his worlds more but that won’t stop me from grabbing the next book in this series
Slight warning: while scenes are never explicit it draws a very thin line

He sleeps in a real bed and eats real food and only jumps into Neuroma to work. All he wanted was to log in, work, and log out and live in general obscurity. Getting the attention of a CEO, meeting a stranger in real life, and forced to play in a secret game of corporations were not penciled into his calendar.

Added to that is the fact that he made a terrible first impression the moment he woke up by lunging at the first person that came into biting range. Now, the curse he unleashed is loose in the world.
