About this listen

An unstoppable curse. A dead man displaced from his time. How do you survive the zombie apocalypse when you started it?

Digby Graves, a deceased medieval peasant with delusions of grandeur, is trying to figure out how the hell he ended up in Seattle eight hundred years after his death. Also, why does he have necrotic magic coursing through his zombified body? Added to that is the fact that he made a terrible first impression the moment he woke up by lunging at the first person that came into biting range.

Now, the curse he unleashed is loose in the world. Digby has a target on his back and only fragmented memories of his death. He needs to survive long enough to put the pieces back together, learn what it means to lead the horde, and master his power over the dead. Digby might even find a few accomplices along the way, if he can hold off on eating them.

The end of the world is gonna get weird.

What an awesome idea, great narration and voicework, and a very competent writer to boot. I enjoyed this a lot — If you like LitRPGs, this is one of the best first books I’ve seen for this genre.

Book 2 is an instant buy for me!

Wow — I’m glad I took a chance

Fun story with a protagonist & sidekicks that have great character reveals & development! The characters grow throughout the story, and the story overall is both fun and interesting!!! Travis Baldree does an excellent job narrating, especially the MC in his zany crazed manner.

I also like the unique way the character gains spells as well as the cool spells themselves!! I'm glad I listened to this story, and definitely recommend it!!!

Great Story & Narrator!! Definitely Recommend!!

Recieved this book by code and I am really glad I did. The narrator was great and the story wasn't just the same old gamelit trope. I'll definatley be getting the next book.

highly Enjoyed it

It’s says a lot about a writer when he can take a chaotic-evil bloodthirsty zombie mage and make you root for him.

I’ll just leave it at that :)

Not just really good, but _fun_

Travis is great as always. This is a very entertaining take on the zombie mob in general, bundled in a a fun, gore filled man who traveled through time story. Zombies haven't been this cool in ages any I can't wait for the next book.

I, like many I'm sure, have been rather burnt out with zombies lately. Pop culture has been oversaturated with both them and variations on the theme. I've always liked zombies, I'd just had enough. It's for this reason alone that I'd passed on listening to Ravenous many many times. I finally decided to give it a shot when I had nothing new in mind and was out of credits. I'm very glad that I did.
Travis Baldree is, as always, wonderful, enough said. The book itself is quick and well paced; at times, humorous and does a wonderful job slowly revealing the world, no big info dumps here. The Litrpg elements are crunchy enough that progression feels meaningful but never gets bogged down in long lists of stats, notifications, etc.
Overall, I recommend this book. Nothing groundbreaking so far just a really solid and fun story. I devoured it (pun intended) and am going to start the second right away.

A remarkably fun listen

this book was great, Diggs was an awesome MC who has undead magic with zombie evolutions that can be claimed through normal zombie means. highly suggested to keep you on your toes as the book only gets better as it progresses.

A beautiful melding of LITrpg and Zombie apocalypse. We get to see the start of an apocalypse and why it’d be so wide spread. It also brings a great perspective of a zombie just trying to get by. Can’t wait for more

A great listen
