Story
A young woman is haunted by two murders that are closely linked -- despite the 110 years that separate them.
Following the breakup of her marriage and her pursuit by an obsessed stalker, criminal defense attorney Emily Graham accepts an offer to work in a major Manhattan law firm. Feeling a need for roots, she buys her ancestral home in New Jersey, which her family sold in 1892, after the disappearance of young Madeline Shapley, one of Emily's forebears.

Mary Huygens Clark, did it again! Could not put the book down twist and turns here and there was remarkable writing and reading. I’ve read a lot of her books, I mean a lot! I have never read a book that had so many characters at times I kinda got lost. But every time I went back to read, I was able to find my place in the story line. Overall, a very, very good book, would highly highly recommend to friends and family.

I really enjoyed this short story book, no extra drama or craziness. The characters were in the book were cute. I think this would be a good book for my daughter to enjoy reading in a few months.

This book wasn’t so bad, it was well written. The voice acting was okay, but at times it was a bit much with the sibling banter none stop throughout each scene with the both of them. Either way, the book was a good read.

Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

Conquering mental health is power!
Reviewed: 06-02-25
I love that the author took time to research and develop characters who resemble real life people that face various mental health issues. I also love the fact that she shows how some people have the bit capability of knowing that they need help as well as how some people who do need help refuse to acknowledge or get the help they need. This book is something that I would highly recommend as a book for professionals and non-professionals to read and understand how people are. Book club is a good place to have this book read as well. Overall, this book is very very good. The author did a phenomenal job!!!

I have read a few mystery books in my lifetime but this one takes the winning trophy. It’s so good!!!😊 I would give 10 stars to this book if I could, kudos to this author! I thought I would not like the back-and-forth present to past, present to past, but the way the author had written and tied together was done beautifully. I didn’t even know I was holding my breath at times wondering what will happen. I even thought about this book on times when I couldn’t read the book, because being busy with other things. I would highly highly recommend this book to friends and family who are interested in a good mystery book. A job well done!!!👍👍👏

Story
Psychiatrist Dr. Gwen Moore is an expert on killers. She’s spent a decade treating California’s most depraved predators and unlocking their motives - predators much like the notorious Bloody Heart serial killer, whose latest teenage victim escaped and then identified local high school teacher Randall Thompson as his captor. The case against Thompson as the Bloody Heart Killer is damning - and closed, as far as Gwen and the media are concerned. If not for one new development.

Not bad, but a lot of side talk
Reviewed: 04-08-25
This book was a decent book, with a few funny parts and a few gripping parts (meaning sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what’s gonna happen next). I would recommend this book to a few people, but not a lot given the fact that there was a lot of side talk that kind of dragged on just a little bit more than necessary. Overall, as I said, it was a decent book to read.

Silly drama
Reviewed: 04-01-25
Out of all three books that I read this one was the one I didn’t really like too much. The characters kind of gave into into the hostage situation too quickly. I felt that there should’ve been a little bit more drama in that aspect as well as the male character should have done just a little bit different in trying to get his wife back. Overall, it was a decent book.
