Great series and narration…

What did you dislike?
I dislike the sex scenes. They do not add anything to the story. I always skip these scenes.
Who would you recommend this book to?
I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys romance novels.
What was your favorite scene?
I enjoyed the scene when Madison realizes Ben is Leo.
Additional comments:
This is the second time I have read this series. I enjoyed it both times. The narrator is very good, she is talented, able to do different accents, male and female voices. All around enjoyable listening.

Narrative is not good

The story is great. The narrator is not good. I listened to all three books because I liked the story line but the voice was terrible.

Thoroughly enjoyed this read

I really enjoyed this read. I love all the sisters and husbands.
This one had more suspense then the others but was oh so good.
I highly recommend this book.

A first for me…

Never before have I read a period novel that ignored a war. The female MC’s American mom and dad casually leave England for America and return during the War of 1812… They would have had to run the English blockade both coming and going, risking life, limb, and privateers… assuming they could have found transport in the first place.

20 chapters I read, waiting for the bad news that would spur the male MC into action to somehow save his true love’s parents with great daring-do (thereby demonstrating his devotion and trustworthiness), but mom and dad just sailed round-trip as oblivious as the author of any war.

Sigh….

Story became tiring and boring

the plot of the story was interesting at the beginning. however, about eight chapters before the end, the author ran out of creative content. a main character, Leo AKA benjamin, was a compelling and strong man. when he and Madison began to bicker they became more and more childish, and the author turned him into an absolute milksop. it ran into all of the silly stuff women want to hear from Men and eager to take it with what some silly woman might say, putting words into a man's mouth. we knew this character was very masculine and direct. he was also compassionate and caring. he became very plaintive and whiny as the author developed the last part of the story. Madison's character was not only childish, but Petty. this did not sound like adults. then rather than deep words needed to develop strong relationships, the sex scenes to solve everything became very tiring as well. it didn't show love, just sex. I simply wanted to know what happened to certain people but the story became so very tedious. I don't think I'll read this author again.

Frustrating Characters

A lot of the story line was unrealistic. The main characters went back and forth in petulant arguments that were very frustrating. The action scenes were not very believable. The first 2 books of this series were better.

Horrible heroine!

Overall not very good. The dialogue was silly. The authors attempt at humor wasn’t funny at all. The language didn’t seem to fit the era and if I had to hear “are you cracked” one more time I was going to scream. The story just didn’t mesh and there wasn’t any chemistry between any of the characters. Of course the narrator didn’t help the story. Who hired her? I didn’t read the first book i but I recommend passing on the entire series.

Average

Let’s start with the narrator, she is pretty monotone with a little whiney. Now to the story, there were some appealing parts to the story however the heroine is pretty annoying and childish. There is also a portion of the book that becomes confusing as to many backstories and characters are being added. Almost like filler. In the end did not like.
