Story
With green eyes and an easy smile, Frank McCabe stole me away from the nightmares that awaited me at home. But the son of the Irish Mob would never be mine. I belonged to the Italians. And the moment my mother sold me to the head of the Italian Mafia, I became the one the people of Boston were warned about. The only person more feared than me in our city is the Irish Ghost. When I finally flee my marital prison with my sons and my sister in tow, I unwittingly run straight into the ghost of the Irishman who died in a fiery explosion years ago.

Incredible performance
Reviewed: 06-13-25
I love Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell as narrators together they are always incredible. This performance was no different. They elevated the story with the way they brought the emotions of the words to life. The storyline was interesting and I loved the development of the characters as they fought for their happily ever after. How Frank, ensures their happily ever after was so well done I was applauding him. This story made me smile, laugh, and at times my heart was in a vise with the angst. I loved this! One of my favorite love stories of the year!

Story
In Fiasco, Kentucky, there is one rule: never fall for a Foxx brother. Any woman who did, ended up dead—or so the rumor goes. Townies call it a curse. But I’ve lived it, and I won’t survive it again. I’m not a cop anymore, but I’ve seen enough danger to know that Laney Young, the beautiful stranger who just showed up in my small town, is running from it. She’s lying about where she came from and what she’s doing here. I don’t want her near my family or the quiet life I’ve made for myself. But my brothers have other plans.

Savor this story like a fine sip of bourbon -LOVE!

Within the first couple of chapters of this audiobook I was asking myself why I waited so long to read this book. I don't think anyone could have picked better narrators for this story than Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais. They were fantastic. When I'm into a book I can binge listen and it's over too soon. With this book I never wanted it to end so I savored it like a good sip of bourbon. The storyline, the character interactions, the spice were perfection. When the suspense came to a head it was pulse pounding and emotional. The ending was everything I could have wanted. I loved this book and I can't wait to read the next two.
If you love romantic suspense don't wait like I did to read this series. Dive in now!

Story
Things that stress out this widowed single mom: high fructose corn syrup, intrusive thoughts about my son getting swept up by a tornado, and the sexiest hockey player to grace this planet. Oh, and the fact that I’m also said hockey player’s physical therapist. But we’ll lock that tidbit away in the same nightstand as my battery-operated toys.

The fun continues in Book 3
Reviewed: 06-04-25
The fun continues for the Mom's in Book 3. If you've listened to the other books you know Shay is the overly healthy cautious mom of the group. In this book we watch as Shay meets Rowen and as their romance develops she finds ways to start to relax her almost obsessive health and caution rules. She starts to let Kai live a little more and be a true kid. Rowen has it down bad for Shay early on. While I did laugh out loud during a part of this story it wasn't as romcomy as the previous books. This was more of a sweet hockey romance.

Great Narration and Good Story
Reviewed: 05-28-25
The narrators did a great job. Maxine Mitchell is so great at expressing emotion with her voice and she does it well in this audiobook, showcasing Kira's emotions as the story unfolds. This story was interesting and well done, at times it had my heart in a vise and my eyes tearing up. However what keeps me from marking this as four stars was the constant repetition of dragon during the first half or more of the book. It became excessive and annoying, it detracted from the enjoyment for me. If that had been cut back this would have been a four star listen for me.

Incredible audio performance
Reviewed: 05-25-25
The narrators performance of this story was fantastic. The accents, the emotion, humor, groans, moans, squeals truly amazing. They brought this dark romantic comedy to life. I’m not sure this is a book I would get into reading but due to the performance I really enjoyed myself.
There were times I really felt like gagging because while a comedy this book is still graphic. As the trigger warnings said “this is a book about serial killers so expect generally messed up murder and chaos” which is what you got.

Reviewed: 05-22-25
This book made me laugh out loud and just feel giddy with joy. Throughout the series we continued to experience Banks and his antics so I was eager to listen to his book. Jacob Morgan was the perfect narrator for this role and he did a great job. I also loved Mackenzie as Sarah. It was a great performance overall.

Story
I swore I would only get married if my life depended on it. Oh, the irony. Many things have happened over the past few weeks that I didn’t see coming. My family imploded. Our business was turned upside down. And someone threatened to harm me if I didn’t make good on my father’s promises. But the biggest thing I didn’t see coming? Foxx Carmichael demanding marriage. He’s doing it out of loyalty to my brother. I know that. But I can’t help but think if, through that deliciously hot, grumpy exterior, my bodyguard doesn’t have ulterior motives.

So much fun
Reviewed: 05-14-25
I had so much fun listening to this book! The narrators were fantastic, the only thing that would have improved this was being a duet. I had a smile on my face from the very first to the very last minute of this story. I mean how could you not start smiling when the very first moments of the story the grump is being thrown into a bachelor auction. I even did a shimmy of giddy joy during the wedding scene. Towards the end we had some action and suspense and that was followed up by a very satisfying HEA. I highly recommend this story if you want to smile, be entertained and also listen to a really sweet love story.

Story
When Sienna Walker is nearly fired from the NYPD, the last thing she expects is a second chance in the one place she vowed never to return to. But she can’t afford to turn down the job offer, even if a painful familial past and a broken engagement hardly make Reno, Nevada, home sweet home. It’s made even less sweet by Sienna’s first case—a serial killer with a curious fixation on her. Along with his victims, the killer leaves perplexing clues and chilling journal entries addressed to Sienna detailing the murders he claims his mother committed.

Follow the clues and hope you win
Reviewed: 05-12-25
While I like these narrators individually I didn’t love them for this audiobook. They were good but I feel this story could have been movie like with a different cast. The story however was fantastic. The murders, the clues trying to figure out what the killer was telling them. Trying to get into his mind. It was like an episode of a true crime podcast or show. I had a suspicion I knew who the killer was and I was wrong though it was connected in a fascinating way. The last hour was heart pounding action and suspense. The story ended with an unexpected but very sweet turn of events.

A sweet story!
Reviewed: 05-10-25
The narrators were fantastic. This story was cute and fun and had me smiling for most of it. I loved Ethan and Palmers relationship and enjoyed their exchanges. Palmer and Cole’s interactions were equally as fun. This story was lighter on the spice and more about the relationship and I liked that with this story. About two hours to the end of the book it gets emotional. But that’s a short period before the joy and a truly fun and happy conclusion. This is the perfect audiobook for summer.
