Story
Spensa made it out of the Nowhere, but what she saw in the space between the stars has changed her forever. She came face to face with the Delvers, and finally got answers to the questions she’s had about her own strange Cytonic gifts. The Superiority didn’t stop fighting for galactic dominance while she was gone, though. Spensa’s team, Skyward Flight, was able to hold Winzik off, and even collect allies to help with the cause, but it’s only a matter of time until humanity—and the rest of the galaxy—falls.

Paralyzed in a workplace accident, Lox's life is looking bleak. He can't even use the cutting-edge hardware that would allow him to play in the full-immersion games that have become so popular. This all changes when he hears from New Universal Frontiers, the company with the best game out there: World of Magic. Annoying grab for word count.
Reviewed: 07-10-23
It's a fun story but I can't recommend this book... The author REPEATEDLY lists every single skill, stat, and percentage each time the MC thinks of them or chooses to level up. it's an annoying stretch for word count. There are also no contraction words. Another stretch for word count.

Story
Something akin to peace has come to the Underdark. The demon hordes have receded, and now the matron mothers argue over the fate of Drizzt Do'Urden. Even so, it becomes clear to one matriarch after another that while the renegade drow may come and go, Menzoberranzan, the City of Spiders, will crawl forever on. And so Drizzt is free to return to his home on the surface once again. Scores are settled as lives are cut short, yet other lives move on. For the lone drow, there is only a single final quest: a search for peace, for family, for home.

It's the book we all deserve after such a long journey beside the Companions of the Hall. I can not give it enough stars to show how much I loved this book. I've been following Drizzt in his shoes from this side of the paper since the early 90's. I felt this book.

I'm an avid fan of this genre. That being said, I wanted to like it... But I can't recommend this to a veteran of LitRPG. There's potential if you can get over the lack of imagination and predictability.

Maybe if Mark Bramhall was given the proper pronunciations for names it would be easier to listen to. I'm a huge fan of the series and have read, then re-read, time and again. I actually had to stop listening to this audio version due to the cringe factor.

Enough with the character sheet update after every chapter please..... It takes away from the flow of the story to have to listen to a 3 minute run down of Lee's stats every chapter. Other than that inconvenience it's quite an entertaining adventure.
