About this listen

Lee has managed to survive encounters with the heralds of three different gods, but the price he has paid has been tremendous. Every step he takes leads him closer to victory in the cruel game he has been forced to play, but it also takes him further down a dark path and away from the man he used to be.

After receiving a request for aid from a beautiful and mysterious messenger, Lee and his inner circle travel to nearby Birnefeld, a large and prosperous city ruled by the dragon king. Before he ever arrives, however, Lee encounters a group of marauders ransacking the countryside, meets a strange new herald who has set up camp in the region, and receives the dire news that the hero Brigid of Kildare has gone missing. To make things worse, a powerful new enemy is stalking him from the shadows, toying with his dreams, and striking at his closest relationships.

With the seeds of doubt sown, Lee has to choose whom he can trust before his nightmares become reality and everything he has worked so hard for goes up in flames.

Absolutely genuinely funny and entertaining

I have listened to many books in my life and I absolutely have to say that this is one of the greatest do you hours that I have spent driving down the road. It is more than funny more than good story I hope there are 100 more sequels to come because this is just one amazing story after another. I love the sequels I love the whole storyline and it is red so well with all kinds of And Susie as him that comes from the readers. They love their job and they do it well and it is a book that I will sent to many people so they can experience one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. Thank you again and keep up the good work. Great next novel in the series!

Very satisfying the whole way through. Really enjoyed the MCs progression in this one.

Get it.

Soundbooth did no favor to the book

I thought the writing and narration of the book was wonderful. I think the addition of the sound effects are borderline horrific.

As for the book itself I really enjoy how Lee is continually pressed into doing things outside of belief system. It makes the reader/listener worry about how it effects his being. Half the time I find myself siding with Ling and the other half kind of enjoys the mayhem. I think author clearly shows how easy it would be for a person slip into the path of being a villain. Is evil that is done for all the right reasons still evil?

Mmmm Sunshine Lollipops

The fourth installment does it again. I have to say that Lee is becoming one of the best MC's in all of litrpg, and of I had to choose a team to go to war with it would definitely have Miller, Dave, Ling, and maybe Jade..... ok yeah it'd definitely have the blue haired weirdo. ;)

Brilliant

The character development of this series is unmatched. I was saddened when this book ended, and will anxiously await the next installment.

Book 4 could perhaps be the best yet, as each new book seems to get better than the last.

Although this is a thoroughly enjoyable production, it does lack in a few areas with regard to LitRPGs, for example:
Geography-interesting places
Equipment-interesting unique items and gear
Dungeons-interesting MOBs and exciting dungeon dives
Lore

I’m wondering what twist the author has up his sleeve, and what happens with Marsha. I’m assuming the series isn’t finished, as the game continues and no one has yet to win.

I love this series.

I have to say that I love where the story is going in this book. I hope that the next book will be released sooner than it took to release this one. However I do understand that a rushed sequal is way worse then a delayed and perfected one.
