Fills like a lot of filler.

I think the meat and potatoes of this book could have been done in 6 hours. I literally skipped through whole chapters to move through the story. I hope the next book has more meat on the bone. We don't need to know that much more about his internal conflicts they haven't changed in the last 6 books

The MC is just too annoying!!!
Reviewed: 03-15-25
This would be a good story if the author knew when enough was enough. I knew this either his other series and I thought 5 books in maybe the MC would show growth ....but nope. The author did it again with this book and I am not signing up for fusstration in the MC. This saddens me because I'm black and from Miami and I really really wanted to like both series.....but nah..... the decision making is just not believable. Which cheapens the story.

Story
After resolving all the pending SPECIAL Quests that had been plaguing him, Thaden is finally ready to evolve his Class, where he can then continue to Level-up past his current limit. Unfortunately, his current Evolution Assignment is proving to be a bit more difficult than his last one, as it requires him to complete one of the new Intermediate dungeons with a full Raid Party of at least 100 people without any casualties. Throwing money at the problem might’ve worked in the past, but now there’s a complication that makes such a prospect nearly impossible.

75% of this book is stat reads.
Reviewed: 01-22-25
What initially started out as a really cool story has turned into a complete credit grab!!!! 15 hours of book and probably only 2 hours of plot!!! the rest is read off repetitive stats!!!! Then the author ends on a cliff hanger followed by 50 minutes of stat reads.

George RR, Patrick Rothfuss, and now Renshaw...
Reviewed: 01-24-23
This book is totally worth the credit. Hands down a great epic. But just like George, Rothfuss, left us hanging for over a decade, and I think Renshaw will do the same. It's a shame because even after almost 30 hours the book was getting good. I mean really good. Now 8 years after Aedan jumped and landed, were still left waiting. .......I just decide to update this review......We're still waiting.

I downloaded the book just because I like Davis Testament of Steel series. What a surprise to find my favorite couple in this book. You'll barely notice them. Solid listen, good story, and good narration. I can't wait to see how all the world-hopping ties together. Mr. Asura better prepare a flow chart of worlds or something.
