About this listen

Thaden is built for running dungeons solo, but in order to progress past his current Level, he’s going to have to find some friends rather quickly…

After resolving all the pending SPECIAL Quests that had been plaguing him, Thaden is finally ready to evolve his Class, where he can then continue to Level-up past his current limit. Unfortunately, his current Evolution Assignment is proving to be a bit more difficult than his last one, as it requires him to complete one of the new Intermediate dungeons with a full Raid Party of at least 100 people without any casualties. Throwing money at the problem might’ve worked in the past, but now there’s a complication that makes such a prospect nearly impossible.

The rise of the Contender Guilds.

Thaden has had his run-ins with the Guilds in the past, of course, but while he had been away for a while, the Assimilation System has embraced these Guilds and incorporated them into its mechanics, legitimizing them past the relatively loose groups of Contenders they were before and making them official organizations – with specific Quests to go along with them. With Guild Quests including the completion of Intermediate dungeons and a Ranking system with ongoing awards, the competition is fierce – and no one is willing to risk their Ranking by taking someone not affiliated with their Guild along.

With these obstacles in place, Thaden struggles to find a Guild willing to accept him as a member, even if only temporarily. This is proving harder than it should be, as while his Class is undoubtedly powerful, information about it and the detrimental drawbacks it enforces on any party he participates in is now widely known.

Will he be able to find a Guild inclined to giving him a chance, or will this unaffiliated healer be stuck at his current Level, unable to progress any further?

Too many stats

The story was good but there were too many stats in this one, it really got in the way of enjoying the story.😅

Something creepy is happening here

Love the twits this book took for the Adversary, as always this series is one of my current favorites.
If you read the last one please continue this series as it’s amazing!!!

The bridge to an up open world

This is a bridge snow to an open world. People know him and he's not so much afraid of people anymore, but he does recognize his deficiencies. We get to see a new side and regarding the system. Is it the good guy, or is it the bad guy? And what is Nana, in the terms of the systems use? Or the use by the enemy

Fun series

Another solid entry in to this series. I enjoyed that there was an emphasis on groups and character interaction. The MC has been kind of a loner up to this point but I have enjoyed when he interacts with other guilds and groups the most. This book had a lot of that. There was quite the twist at the end too. The narration was solid.

good story

it's a good storyline. though the book seems to be mostly stats. would be better with a total Stat average than listing every single one. spent 43 mins at end just for stats. other than the story is getting good. just too Stat heavy.

Great followup! Its cool to see him teaming up more

Very interesting building unfortunate year cliffhanger ;) excited to keep following when we can though! Very good followup book this series is interesting in how it changes requirements and abides by the new ones each book.

Squirrel, class, dum-bass

I understand making the companion not helping bodily needs but I hope at some point he’ll give her a humanoid appearance.

Class is definitely interesting. Maybe he’ll become a bridge between the directors and administrators.

I know Adrenalin is a helluva drug but come on. He used his class ability in the last fight before the party and doesn’t event attempt to use it once during the fight.

Calculating, boy does that get old.

The story in book is about 2 to 3 weeks of the story. some dungeon running and thaden gaining a new class.

4+ hours of stats and item descriptions. the last chapter is 43 minutes of his stat page...

I think this would be better in a reading format or adding in bookmarks to skip the modifiers added to literally everything he gains.

Example gains pci (experience) it goes, Killed (Monsters)-->pci 150 --> Calculating title unkillable 1 pci 450 --> unkillable 2 pci 675 --> one man army --> pci 1350 --> Class modifiers pci 2700

It breaks the tempo of the story. Think you are done with number for a while? no walks 10 steps in a line and does it again.

lots of this story could be condensed to this gear is better and he is stronger.

Please simplify the stat reads

The "recalculating" was really unneccary. It kills the flow of the story. Just give the end result.
