Your best friend

Lindsay Boxer is pregnant at last! But her work doesn't slow for a second. When millionaire Chaz Smith is mercilessly gunned down, she discovers that the murder weapon is linked to the deaths of four of San Francisco's most untouchable criminals. And it was taken from her own department's evidence locker. Anyone could be the killer - even her closest friends.

Or a vicious killer?

Lindsay is called next to the most bizarre crime scene she's ever seen: two bodiless heads elaborately displayed in the garden of a world-famous actor. Another head is unearthed in the garden, and Lindsay realizes that the ground could hide hundreds of victims.

You won't know until the 11th hour

A reporter launches a series of vicious articles about the cases and Lindsay's personal life is laid bare. But this time, she has no one to turn to - especially not Joe. 11th Hour is the most shocking, most emotional, and most thrilling Women's Murder Club novel ever.

11th Hour Ended Too Soon

Any additional comments?

I have enjoyed all of the "Women's Murder Club" books and this one was just as good. The story did not seem to be as in depth as the others and ended too soon. Would have enjoyed the women getting together more and putting their heads together to solve the murders. I didn't like the situation with Lindsay, yelled at her a few times to stop being so stupid; which shows how real the characters seem. Waiting on number 12.

Changing the narator was a big mistake

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I didn't like this audio book. .The hick ups in Boxers love life are contrite, forced, and completely out of character.

How could the performance have been better?

Why the new narrator isn't bad I can't wrap my head around the new voices. It's like tuning in to the 6th season of your favorite sitcom to find that all of the actors have been changed.

Any additional comments?

I was in a spell with the last narrator Carolyn McCormick . The narrator change made me realize how poor the plot line really was. I'll be following books narrated by McCormick as opposed to the author brand name James Patterson and his never ending list of written with ...fill in the blank.

Not up to par

Would you consider the audio edition of 11th Hour to be better than the print version?

I have no idea as I am legally blind and cannot see to tead print version.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The plot development was well done but it lacked interaction of the women in the club.
Boxer's pregnancy was least interesting.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Performance was wll done.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My reaction to the book was disappointment. There was a lack of participation by all members of the club and it just seemed to short change the reader.

11th Hour

Just not mysterious enough for me. I like the surprises. It was a good read anyway.

This Review Needs a Title...So, I...

It was a fair book. There are two murder mysteries running at the same time and sometimes, it's hard to keep them separate. The lives of the women are usually more entwined and not as one dimensional as in this book. The solutions to the cases did not climax at the same time, leaving one with the rim fire feeling. And, Lindsay seems overemotional -- pissed off at her hubby for about half the book. Communicate and move on. Other characters were not as vibrant because space was devoted to this. The San Francisco scenes, as always, were fun, but not as exciting as the title would suggest.

Why??? Be prepared for a new narrator.

January did a good job but she is not Lindsay, Clair, Cindy, and definitely not Yuki. You can't change a narrator 11 books into a series. You just cant!! The voices were all wrong.
However, after finally letting the voices go it was a good story and I expect I'll finish the series.
