About this listen

With fugitive parents, a brother dodging loan sharks, a hunky cop who's made her outlaw family his business, and her ex-fiance back in the picture, Carlotta Wren thought her life couldn't get any more complicated. And then...

Her fugitive parents phone home.

Her identity is stolen by a look-alike.

Her look-alike is found, well...dead.

Under suspicion for murder, Carlotta discovers that her devious double might have been bumped off accidentally - and that she could be the real target! funny speak

well maybe its just where these narrators are from but i have never heard garage said like this, gar-âj. i have an accent & have spoke a non standard dialect so i know about sounding funny to people. All the Bond books ive heard have this issue. At least this narrator has WAAAAY less than the last books i listed to.

Fun Series

This is a fun series. Always great to find someone new with lots of books on hand! I have to say Cassandra Campbell, narrartor on the first book, far surpassed Maureen Jones. Maureen has a pleasant voice but a Canadian accent for a series set in Atlanta? And the word is GarAHge not Garaajj. Never have heard such a common word so mangled. Again and again and again in the book. Other than that well worth the credit.

Reading Performance Much Improved!

If you listened to book one and found it a little cringy, you can be assured that this performance is MUCH improved. I found this one more enjoyable to listen to.

Of course the story line is even better than the 1st and the building romantic tensions finally begin to lead to new places.

Canadian narrator?

A book set in Atlanta should have a southern-accented narrator or at least one who pronounces words in American English.

The characters are great!

I’m, once again, in love with the Neanderthal..Jack Terry. Lol Coop is a runner up though.

Keeps getting better

Just when Carlotta thought her life couldn’t get worse, someone steals her identity and then jumps off a bridge. Good story!

Great Story, but that Narrator

I enjoyed the story, but the narrator's pronunciation of certain words are like nails on a chalkboard. I would love to know who thought it'd be a great idea to use a canadian to narrate a setting in ATL Georgia?! The way she pronounces sorry, been, and garage is irrating and distracting!!

I'm enjoying this series

This is a lighthearted romantic comedy and I find myself really enjoying. Nothing deep, fairly superficial, but easy to get into and very entertaining. I think I'll keep going through the books.

Where does 2 Bodies for the Price of 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

About a 9 love the story

Who was your favorite character and why?

Caroltta.. very interesting and likable.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Cabdian accent...cannot pronounce words correctly. Needs to be a southerner or someone who can do a southern accent. Really bad!
