About this listen

Just when she least expects it, Lizzie's harmonious life starts to unravel.

With the twins turning one and the start of a new semester, Lizzie should be in the mood to celebrate, but the last person she wants to see makes a sudden reappearance in her life.

To complicate matters more, Lizzie's wife, who is usually the rock in the Petrie household, is navigating her own crisis.

While Lizzie wants to stay strong and provide the support her wife needs, there's a reason everyone calls her clueless.

Is Lizzie strong enough to survive her own issues while also being there for her wife, or will this be Lizzie's breaking point?

A Conflicted Woman is the smart and funny fourth installment of A Woman Lost, a series of contemporary lesbian romances. If you like fully-formed characters, complicated family dynamics, and well-crafted prose, then you'll love T.B. Markinson's heartwarming series.

Not to bad

Out of all four this was the least favorite of mine, it was hard to follow the story line, and it was mainly uneventful.
If not the narration I probably would not have returned to listen to it, after I stoped and listened to other better ok I had in my library.

Outstanding as always!

First let’s start with the Narration of this book/series... T.B. Markinson has used Stephanie Murphy for this book and all the previous book for this series. What an Excellent decision that has turned out to be...I can’t even begin to imagine what the characters voices would be like at this point should it had been anyone else. Stephanie Murphy does all of the characters in this series justice by bringing to life each of the characters in her own unique way. So Bravo 👏
As for the audiobook (book 4)... We’re at a point were an old nemeses comes back to reek havoc just when everything seems to be going well for both Lizzie & Sarah. It would also seem that the roles of protector and sound of reason (Sarah) and the mostly stressed out/ clueless one (Lizzie) our going threw a bit of a role reversal. Threw this turn of events we get to see them grow as a couple and a family while dealing with outside stresses from both sides of the family. I specially like how the author allows Lizzie to matured in her role as a partner and make better decisions (talking it out) rather then making excuses for the upheaval in her life. I like the direction the storyline continues to move within each book and always look forward to the next one in the series. All an all, the audiobooks are on the mark! If your a fan of the books. I have no doubt your lovin’ the audiobook versions. Happy listening 🎧

Witty and realistic

I have listened to all of the books in this series thus far and they are incredible. Lizzie is as endearing as she is lost. Sarah spins a new direction in this book and the adventure continues. The most wonderful thing about this series is that it is so realistic and engaging. I would really like to have friends like Lizzie and Sarah and all of their friends too. They are a mismatched set of super believable characters with quirks and outstanding positive qualities. T.B. Markinson created a world where things go right and side ways and right again...at least hopefully. As per her usual Stephanie Murphy does a stupendous job of bringing all of the story to life through amazing narration. My only recommendation aside from reading this books is that if you haven't read the prior ones in the series you might want to go back and read them first. Otherwise you may miss a large piece of the humor and the story line in general. Bravo Ladies for a job well done!

Cute, Charming and Funny!

This is book # 5 of a 7 book series. I listened to the entire series from 1-7 in 9 days. Just when I would say to myself, "last book for a few days", the Author TB Markinson would leave me in some sort of cliff hanger. I count my blessing that had all seven books at the same time!

The narrator in one of my favorite narrators however, in this series, I needed to speed up her performance to 1.1 because it sounded a little slow, especially in parts where she performed as a man. But overall she did a great job.

I have listened to a total of 13 of her books (including a co-write with Miranda McLeod) and with each book, I think her craft has improved. Her books are fantastic!

Another fantastic Petrie tale

Stephanie Murphy knocks it out of the park again with this narration of yet one more addition to the amazing Petrie family saga. This one brings back the ghosts of Lizzie's past which she and Sarah overcome together. The Petrie family draws closer together and there is no lack of Lizzie moments for us listeners to enjoy and love. If you've made it this far, I don't need to tell you how amazing this series is. T.B. Markinson created a wonderful array of characters and Stephanie Murphy is awesome at bringing them to life.
