About this listen

This bundle includes books four, five, and six of the Cupcake Bakery Mystery series.

Book Four: Red Velvet Revenge

When local legend Slim Hazard offers Mel and Angie the chance to sell cupcakes at the annual Juniper Pass rodeo, they're determined to rope in a pretty payday! But when a dead body is found face down in the hay, it's a whole different rodeo.

Book Five: Going, Going, Ganache

When Mel and Angie host a weeklong corporate boot camp at Fairy Tale Cupcakes, it’s clear that the staff would rather be doing just about anything other than frosting baked goods. But when the magazine’s creative director is found murdered outside, Mel and Angie have a new team-building exercise: finding the killer before their business goes AWOL.

Book Six: Sugar and Iced

When Mel’s mom asks Mel and Angie to provide cupcakes for the seventy-fifth annual Sweet Tiara contest as a favor for her best friend, they can’t say no. But when one of the judges shows up dead beneath their cupcake display, they have to find the killer before the wrong person goes to jail.

I love this series

Jenn McKinlay has created a fun group of characters. The only thing I wish was different is that the narrator tends to cut off the endings of her words. The story would be better if she were to enunciate.

Best one so far!

I enjoy are of Jenn McKinley books but this is by far the best one yet. The ending leaves you hanging to the point you can't wait to get the next one in this series!

Good stories! Irritating narration.

I loved the stories — all three! However, the reader often does not pronounce ending consonants of words, and it’s distracting to say the least!

Not best in Series IMHO

I didn't like the group of people she worked with in this book. I like cozy mysteries for the small town atmosphere and this was much too much about the magazine muckety-mucks... and their shallow lives.

I also didn't get Mel is putting her happiness on hold with Joe in order to not experience loss again... doesn't she realize that the longer she puts off marrying the man the last time she'll have with him? Life ends on a dime in many cases grab the happiness while you can.
