Of the 4 books, this has to be one of the best.

I loved the newness of book one, and appreciated the character developments if books 2 and 3. But it was by book 4 with flushed out villains and heros you cant help but love, hate, and/or pitty. All in a very original and insane world dreamed up by Reeve. If you find yourself struggling to finish the previous novels, book 4 is the crescendo that made it all worth while.

Very great series!

This is probably my favorite series I have read yet, though maybe that’s because I’m writing this right after having finished the last book, or maybe it’s because I haven’t read or listened to many books. I would recommend listening to or reading the first book Mortal Engines and if you don’t like it by Chapter 6 or 7 the series may not be for. You’ll never know unless you give it a go

Wonderful

After listening to the entire series, the ending seemed appropriate and fitting. I felt myself take a deep, staggered breath and found myself back where it all began. Loved it.

Best ending ever.

By the time you’ve gotten to this fourth book you are already committed to the story so I will spare everyone commentary there. What I will say is that it is exceedingly rare for Sci-fi/fantasy stories to tie up all loose ends and craft such a neat and clean “full circle” which brings the reader back to the beginning and with such a sense of satisfaction.

amazing series

i cannot possibly describe in words the profound effect of this wonderful series. Sure to become a true classic, the most interesting new world full of fun, yearning, adventure and despair. characters one falls instantly in love with. Finishing the prequel series of 3 books just as wonderous in the same post apocalyptic world. The names, oh so funny and perfect. My favorite was Peaches Zanzibar.
