A fun lovely romance

This is exactly my type of book- light funny and not too steamy! Thank you Jane Ashford and Rosalyn Landor- well done!

Lucky or not

Looking for love, looking for answers and looking for a treasure. A down on his luck Duke finds all three from his sisters friends. I only wish treasure was abit more fun. Good little romance for all ages.

Have to agree about the bratty girls

I forget how old the H is but the girls I guess are 16 -17 and they act like they're 12-13. Though the older male/younger woman match features in many historical romances, in this book it all comes off as rather pervy. The girls are just too...young and annoying. The h's obsession with the H is not explained and frankly, I can't see it. I did finish to see if/where the treasure would be found. If you're curious about that skip all scenes with the H/h because they are totally uninspiring and repetitive.

Excruciatingly Exhausting

I have enjoyed the series until this book. The hero could never be described as swoon worthy. He comes off as a pre pubescent school yard brat. Runs hot and cold one minute to the next. Saying sweet things then on the next breath slams a verbal fist down. Scary. He may even be insane. I never get the sense he agonizes over his love of the heroine. He finds her interesting and fun to talk to and that’s about it. It is very possible he has not decided yet whether he is even attracted to women. He seems to be the token male in a gaggle of silly girls. The whole thing comes off as a Scooby gang.

The book drones on and on and onnnnnnnnn about how dilapidated the castle is. About how desperate the Duke is. The heroine throws herself at him in the most wanton ways and he doesn’t pick up on it. In her mind, she is going to marry him, when he has not even the pondered the idea. The thought of courting her has not even hatched.

Just too much to dislike about this story. The narration is top notch as always. I’m sure the gifted and talented Rosalyn Landor made the best of this job. A real stinker but if you are as prolific as she is, there’s bound to be one or two bombs in along the way.

Worst characters - EVER

The only thing that kept me going with this book was to find out what and where the treasure was. Not even the great R Landor could make this book worth the credit I spent on it. IMHO a story/book can tolerate strong, opiniated stubborn characters as long as other characters balance the strong ones. Not in this book....no balance.
Update after second listen. Tedious, tedious, tedious. I actually said "thank goodness" at the end.

What a bratty group of girls

This book was hard to get through. Every one of the young girls were so irritating.

Boring

So long getting through the same topic. Shouldn’t be a book. This should be shortened to a short story. Narrator fantastic
