Publisher's summary

A malevolent entity. A violent haunting. A house with a bloody history. Jake Nolan left it all behind, but now he must return.

Jake has it all — a new home, an amazing girlfriend, and nearing a promotion at work. Best of all, he feels he’s finally moved on from the horrors of his traumatic past. But when he learns that his estranged brother, Trevor, has moved back into their haunted childhood home, Jake knows his past is not quite finished with him yet.

Jake rushes to the old house in Rose Grove — a small town with a tragic history — to pull his brother from that dangerous place. But it’s too late. There, he finds Trevor trying to make contact with the spirit that tormented them years ago.

And Trevor refuses to leave. He is determined to cleanse the house and remove the entity. But the supernatural activity becomes too much to handle, and Jake knows they are both unprepared for the fight. Worse, the entity targets Daniel, Jake’s young nephew, and wants to bring him harm. And when the intelligent haunting shows signs of demonic infestation, Jake realizes they aren’t dealing with a mere ghost.

Jake attributes the evil spirit for driving his parents to an early grave. Now it wants to claim the rest of the family, and the only way Jake and Trevor will survive is to send the entity back to hell.

A Haunting in Rose Grove is a supernatural horror novel for listeners who love stories about haunted houses and battles with the demonic — the truest form of evil that exists in our world.

Very Good.

I am new to this author and this is my first book. I must say this is a good story. I really enjoyed it. The characters well developed, scary to the point that while listening to it at bedtime in complete darkness I had to stop listening. my mind started playing tricks on me and I thought I was hearing thing in my home...lol I really felt for the two brothers and the abusive they had to endure growing up. I won't say to much. The narrator Gary Bennett did a great job with his narration and bringing each character to life. I look forward to other scary books by Rockwell Scott because this one is very good. If you love scary, Demonic stories that will have you looking over your shoulders and scared to go downstairs in your own home for a glass of milk by yourself,😱 then, I recommend you get this book.👆🏽

Story line was easy to follow.

Narrator was pretty good. Had an odd voice impression of women tho. Overall had soothing and easy voice to listen to.

Good simple story

Some parts where interesting and creative but the end kinda fizzled but over all I enjoyed a lot.

Again Good Story.

I have completed all audio books available at this time, by this author. The 10th ward is my favorite.
The story is consistent with others by the author. Good base characters. However, the back story has a few holes, but easy to over look. I do not feel the holes were detrimental to the storyline. It was worth the credit I spent on it and entertained me. This is a stand alone book, and as with his other stand alone I wish it contained more detail. Take a little time and paint me in to the room. Only annoyance was weak female characters. Again as a mother I find his portrayal of weak, idol, stand by mother's frustrating at times.
Narrations was appropriate and fit with the character. No complaints.

A very good haunted house story

I really enjoyed this book. The story was not as typical a haunted house story as some are.

Freaky Story

I was drawn in by this book. When you grow up in haunted house and finally escape the last thing you want to do is go back. But when your brother does go back you feel you are the only one who can save him and his family.

Just ok

Story was ok. Writing was weird, very formal during conversations which made for awkward reading - no one talks that way! Narrator was ok, not much emotion and a lot of characters sounded the same. Not a bad book, but not one I'll listen to again.
