Would you try another book from Jules Verne and/or Peter Batchelor?
I have read and enjoyed many books by Jules Verne and I would love to read more of his writing. What did you like best about this story?
The story was captivating and I enjoyed the main character's uncle. How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator's voice was difficult hear and understand, further there were some moments when I could hear the narrator cough.Do you think A Journey to the Center of the Earth needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
It would be nice if the author was not dead... and in the center of the earth.Great story but poor narration.

I was most particularly entertained by Axel’s character. I liked his attitude, his almost comedic interactions with his uncle and his slightly dry or stuffy personality, but his journey felt a little tedious at times. Yes, I know the book is about the journey but some passages describing the strange and wonderful new world they were discovering bored me. I just wanted them to get there already!!
