Best Short Story Ever, Schubach Rocks my world!

A Little Favor start in the early days of Hitler's raise to power in Germany with nightclub singer running from Brown Shirts after she tried to do her girlfriend a little favorite favor. Along with Brown Shirts And bullets. There are many stop on the way, but no spoiler here. It's an awesom ride.

Much too short...

This is by far one of Mr Schubach's best since The Bridge...very original. Would love to hear it flushed out as a full story. Really loved the narrator...she was perfect for this story.

Just A Little Favor She Said

What did you love best about A Little Favor?

I have a soft spot for war stories, be it old ones or newer ones. this one was set in the beginning and end of WW2. I love the character and her spunk, basically I love all of it, it's short which makes me want more of it! I could read an entire novel of this story and not get bored.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Little Favor?

Let's see... there are a lot and I don't want to be spoiling potential readers and listeners. I loved the ending of it and I cried a little because of it. one memorable line would be the one about a Hanky Panky hahaha! *clears throat* sorry I just can't seem to read that phrase and not laugh or giggle.

Which scene was your favorite?

again I don't want to be spoiling people. The last scene definitely and also the one where Jillian was going to Emily's room and the Matron of the dormitory looked at her and allowed her to come because she was a woman and only men weren't allowed in the dorms so they won't steal the "virtues" of the women under her care. I was snickering in that part.

Who was the most memorable character of A Little Favor and why?

Jillian, well mostly because she was the main character, but also because of her personality and spunk. a nice gal with a fast wit to match.

Any additional comments?

I was a little weirded out that it was not Hollie Jackson who was narrating the book since i had gotten so used to her voice by now in Erik Schubach's book. But I have to tell you Ms. Allyson did an amazing job of Narrating this one and I love her accents. if you are used to Ms. Jackson's voice you will feel something different, but I assure you that it is a good different.
