Beloved Author Tracie Peterson concludes her popular Lone Star Brides Series.

Texas born and raised Jessica Atherton is a wealthy young woman whose heart was broken when the man she intended to marry wedded another. But her world is upended when two men come into her life and both manage to stir her heart. Harrison Gable is a rich young lawyer who intends to travel the world and live a life of opulence. His ambitions match Jessica's dreams, but her heart has begun to change. Austin Todd, former Secret Service agent, enjoys working now as a Texas Ranger cattle inspector. But learning of forged gold certificates and missing printing plates, he's drawn back into the world of intrigue and agrees to help solve the case.

Austin is well-thought-of and admired in the community. Jessica is drawn to his kind nature and the unspoken pain she sees in his eyes. Will Jessica choose financial security or follow her heart?

Good continuation of this series

I liked this series because each book truly was a continuation of the one before it, so by the end, you just had one big story in your head, not 3 separate ones. Excellent job with that. I wished the ending wasn’t so abrupt -just a 10 minutes at the end of this one would have been nice.
I definitely recommend this book and series though. Nice combo of suspense and love in this one.

I love the way she weaves history and the story line in her books. This one is worth the listen.

just okay

In this book Jessica [from the previous book] doesn't like who people perceive her as so she tries to become a better person. Jessica now has two suitors wanting her attention... who will she choose? I felt like this book was harder for me to get into than the others in the series. That is why I only gave the story 3 stars. I really enjoyed the Christian theme throughout this book and the nuggets of wisdom. However, I thought that every once in awhile the narrator would get throaty [almost Kermit the Frog-ish].

It was ok

I did my feel like I did while reading the first two so that’s why I put ok. Goodness pushing the stars should be enough

Tracie Peterson never fails to deliver !

I never fail to enjoy a Tracie Peterson novel. Her development of character , the challenges that they face and the way they face them always holds one's attention. Once in awhile something is predictable, but there's always plenty of twists and turns to hold one's attention. This author never fails to deliver a good read....and I love the audible versions!
