Best-selling Author Tracie Peterson Launches Exciting New Series Set in 1890s Montana
Emily Carver wants a home where she can put down roots instead of following her gold-hungry father from one mining camp to another. She also longs for tenderness and love, both of which are missing in her life. Yet when she realizes she's losing her heart to the intriguing new man in camp, she fiercely fights her feelings, afraid that love will only result in disappointment and heartache.
Caeden Thibault, a young geologist, comes to Montana to catalog minerals indigenous to the state. He's a serious and guarded young man trying to escape the pain of his past. He has avoided all romantic entanglements, fearing he might become like his abusive father. But something about Emily Carver has caught his attention, something he never expected....
Will these two broken souls allow God to bring healing and hope to their hurting hearts?

Would you consider the audio edition of A Treasure Concealed to be better than the print version?
No, I was thinking I would have enjoyed it more had i read it.How did the narrator detract from the book?
Story was ok. But I couldn't get past the narrator. She never fell into the flow. It was almost like she was telling it to kids instead of adults. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I don't like all in one sitting, I like them to last. It was a simple and enjoyable story. This narrator not polished, her voice isn't ideal

Emily had been an obedient child. However, she had always hated not living in one place more than a few months, always chasing her father’s next dream. She had longed for education and a real home.
Caden was a geologist employed by the government. He was sent to Ithica, Montana to check the soil then report his findings to the rest of his group then to Washington D.C. He loved what he did and was determined to leave the cares of Albany behind him.
Caden has arrived in a town at the end of the stage coach “line”. Now he just needed to find a place called Yogo City to begin his testing .He met an old miner at the mercantile who met Caden’s inquiry about the city with the promise to personally accompany him there. His home was on the edge of the city boundaries.
Upon arriving at the small log house, Caden was instructed to just go on in and tell his wife and daughter, he’d be in as soon as he undid he horse and fed him. When Caden opened the door, he was met with a shocking surprise... so was Emily.
This is a very interesting tale of the obsession of some to “strike it rich “ regardless of what or whom they had to sacrifice in fulfilling their dream. It is also a tale of devotion, faith, pain, suffering, loss, “community”, self evaluation, plus, much more.
Melissa Hurst was effective in her narration. However, at times she lacked consistency in the various “voices “. This is a difficult feat. Although it was a bit disconcerting at times, she recovered well.
The story was very poignantly entertaining, emphasizing faith, determination, caring and endurance.
The book cover, title, characterization and background scenes were all done well.
This is an entertaining early Montana settlers account

In A Treasure Revealed by Tracie Peterson, the treasure of God’s love is found, although a bit unrealistic in the revealing. Emily struggles with life in a gold mining camp of Montana, with a father suffering from gold fever and a dying mother, and of course a claim jumper who seeks revenge on her father. Caeden, a young geologist, is running from a rich life, abusive father, arranged engagement and anger with God.
The performer hurts the audio version and Peterson author voice is a bit old school. I was surprised to find the book released in 2016.
Even with the flaws, I will read another Tracie Peterson book. Emily and Caeden reflect real people seeking a loving father. I’m hoping for a more unique plot. This one seems a bit over used even for a western novel.
