About this listen

"All's fair in love and war." That's what they say. I intend to find out....

Shit has hit the fan and splattered all over the walls. One of my guys is lost in the wilderness, and my bestie is a shell of her former self. The threat of war looms heavy over Briarwitch Academy like a rolling fog - we don't know when it will come, only that it's inevitable.

I've been tasked with heavy responsibilities, such as helping to raise an army to combat my nemesis; striking an unbreakable pact with the shifty Seelie fae; bringing my werewolf lover boy home.

The fight of my life is coming. I have to be ready to battle my own fears and insecurities and make a stand. The fate of the academy, my second home, is on the line. Briarwitch has taught me so much - I can't let it fall! At least I know I'll have my guys by my side.

Can I bring myself to become that bitch, like I was always meant to be?

Likeable main characters made story more enjoyable

I liked many of the main characters including the love interests however was disappointed with the FMC Dawn Rose. It was more like a slow burn to power which didn't fully happen until the end. Her character given all her power rarely fought and liked to watch other people get attacked without doing much. And all her inner monologue throughout became annoying. Like just quit standing there a do something. Her personality also change early on from strong to weak and whiny. Then by book 3 she became annoying and cruel. I started feeling back for others when she lashed out. As for the Epilogue it was weak for her and her men...seeming to hint they wouldn't wind up together for very long. She had this big quest planned which she would apparently go on her own. Huge let down. With all this said it was worth reading for the others including her brother and best friend. They got the true HEA.

Umm well

I can’t say I hated this story but the ending was lacking in my opinion and I felt there could be more of a complete story if a few things had been tied up. I was just disappointed after all the books that this was the end.
