About this listen

A Dreamstalker - a creature that stalks and kills its victims in sleep. A fairy in law enforcement determined to stop him. A potions smuggler who possesses something she wants. A vampire with his own agenda. And a partner who couldn't possibly be sexier or more frustrating.

Dulcie O'Neil is a fairy working in law enforcement for the Netherworld. When Knight Vander approaches her with a case regarding comatose victims, she agrees to help him, imagining the most difficult part will be combatting her attraction to him. What Dulcie isn't betting on is the case becoming personal - but all the victims are somehow linked to her. When her best friend falls victim to the Dreamstalker, Dulcie must do everything in her power to ensure her friend's survival, including associating with criminals and accepting the fact that desperate times do definitely call for desperate measures.

Two Goblins & no spoilers!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I really honestly love H.P. Mallory's books. The story lines are fun and the characters are not two dimensional. The only character that is rather annoying is.... yep, Dulcie. She's a hot head, we get that, but she never allows anyone else to have an opinion, she's way to quick to assume that all any man wants is a piece of her tush, and yep again, she's way too full of herself and her stunning looks. Let her have a few flaws. It would make her more likable. (the being ridiculously cocky flaw isn't lovable)

Any additional comments?

Terese Plummer is excellent at her job. Hang on to her, H.P.!

Goblins with special powers

I just enjoy these books. They're imaginative, and fun with a "lady of whit and that unknown attraction".

Sizzling Modern Feisty Fairy

Great story, however I was still left with a thought of what Knight ( Lochi) is? She never explained what type of creature he was. Regardless, the story ended great, made me wanting more.

Great follow-up. Interesting characters

Pretty terrific follow-up to the beginning. Some dead time in the middle of the book. By dead time I mean I could tell the author padded the book a bit to drag out the story, but I suffered thru that to see what would happen with the guys. The characters are interesting enough to keep me tuned in. The end was surprising enough to make me rush to buy book 3. Not quite what I thought would happen by the end of the book. Thumbs up for non-predictability.

This book is torture it’s so addictive!

This is such a great story line and awesome character growth & I don’t really know who it’s read by but she did an amazing job!!! HOWEVER I am literally DYING, because the last couple of books aren’t even on audible?! Major boner kill 😭😭 I would pay to have them finished with the same reader. I hope someone important sees this .😭💞 please guys I have nothing else to do.

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎧

I am so glad I came back to this series. Dulcie is a unique character who wouldn't let me forget her. I liked her job, and yes, I know she isn't part of law enforcement anymore, but I still needed more of her brand of wit.

When Dulcie's best friend becomes a victim of the Dreamstalker, a goblin that can and does toy with you and can kill you in your dreams, Dulcie isn't about to stand by and let that happen.

She and Knight are working through a lot at the same time. And the netherworld isn't just going to forget that she didn't apprehend her boss for all the bad he was doing.
But Knight has a plan.

Fantastic narration. Therese Plummer is excellent with voices. I, for one, couldn't stop listening.

If you haven't read/listened to the first one, please start there. If you have, why are you wasting time reading reviews? If you read the first one, you already know you want to read this book! ...and the next one ... and the next one ;)

Great second book

This is a great series so far! I wish my library had them so I could read them quicker! I just can't justify spending so much money on a 7 hour audiobook. But I will watch for deals because I do love the characters!
