About this listen

From the author who brought you A Thousand Boy Kisses comes the new emotional novel, A Wish for Us.

A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all.

Nineteen-year-old Cromwell Dean is the rising star of electronic dance music. Thousands of people adore him. But no one knows him. No one sees the color of his heart.

Until the girl in the purple dress. She sees through the walls he has built to the empty darkness within.

When Cromwell leaves behind the gray skies of England to study music in the South Carolina heat, the last thing he expects is to see her again. And he certainly doesn’t expect that she’ll stay in his head like a song on repeat.

Bonnie Farraday lives for music. She lets every note into her heart, and she doesn’t understand how someone as talented as Cromwell can avoid doing the same. He’s hiding from his past, and she knows it. She tries to stay away from him, but something keeps calling her back.

Bonnie is the burst of color in Cromwell’s darkness. He’s the beat that makes her heart skip.

But when a shadow falls over Bonnie, it’s up to Cromwell to be her light, in the only way he knows how. He must help her find the lost song in her fragile heart. He must keep her strong with a symphony only he can compose.

A symphony of hope.
A symphony of love.
A symphony of them.

Tillie did it again!

I loved the ending!
The story was good. It made my heart tender at some points. Specially, Easton. I love the chemistry between Bon and Cromwell. The growth of the MCs was smooth and the love development was good as well. I kind of fear the ending but it was a great ending.

One of my favorites this year

I've been on an ugly cry kick lately and A wish for Us delivered it in spades. The story of Bonnie and Cromwell ripped me to pieces...and Easton - I loved that boy so very very much. I'm pretty sure I cried more than I laughed. From the first page to the last I was invested in their world and was sad when I had to say goodbye. Tillie Cole wrapped it up like no one else can and slowly put me back together again.

The narration was on point...I'm not sure I would have walked away with the same gut wrenching feeling had I chose to read it instead. Angela Moore and Jay Skelton brought this book to life for me. Such a beautiful story!!!

Simply beautiful

I loved the story. I cried like a baby so make sure to have tissues near you. It kept me guessing of the outcome which it was nice.

Absolutely the best!

I thought I couldn’t love an audiobook as much as I loved Tillie Cole’s “A Thousand Boy Kisses”, but she has written another story that I will never forget! I much prefer this type of stories from Tillie than the MC books. The heroine is a South Carolina college student. The hero is a famous musician from England. They meet at one of his concerts and he’s not impressed by this pretty American girl, as he’s very jaded. After he’s given a coveted college spot to study under a renown music professor, his roommate turns out to be her twin brother. Soon he finds himself partnered for the year with her. There are twists and turns in this heart rendering story, and I don’t want to give them away. All I can say is BUY this audiobook! Please Tillie, write more of this type of book! Narration was excellent.

Brilliantly done

I think Tillie Cole is my favorite author. This book was amazing and it made me, a grizzled old lady, cry. I wish I could give more than five stars.

Captivating story of love and loss

This again is a beautifully writen and crafted ode to love and family by Tillie Cole with excellent pacing and excellent and complete character arcs. I truly wish one event did not happen - I would have rather read his love story and seen him thrive and overcome.

Jay Skelton was a superb narrator for Cromwell but I found the accent a little hard to get used to - not quite authentic. But the hardest element for me to adjust to in the audiobook was this lilting thing that Angela Moore did - it was very distracting and made it much harder to connect and negatively affected the flow - but these are minor flaws - the book is excellent.
