The snake says it’s okay.

Eve says it’s okay.

You’re curious, aren’t you, Adam?

Bite it.

You bit it, didn’t you?

It’s all right; we all make mistakes. Paradise wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, anyway. From now on, you’ll have to make your own way. Just you and Eve and your trusty talking goat sidekick, Phil Collins.

The book of Genesis. How bad could it be? Take a bite and find out for yourself.

A tongue in cheek story of creation for the 17-25 crowd

This present day take on the life of Adam and Eve is surprisingly humorous. I didn't have any laugh out loud moments, but I caught myself grinning several times. The narrator does a fine job of expressing the author's unique nuances. The story is written very tongue in cheek, so pay attention or you will miss his dry humor. The story was a good length (1 hour) and held my attention 'til the end.

Oddball humor

I like to compare Marc to Christopher Moore. If you can suspend you belief in reality & like oddball humorous stories you'll love him.
He IS one of the authors where you wonder 'where does he come up with this stuff?' I was voluntarily provided this review copy at no charge by the author, publisher and or narrator.

Cute, worth the read

Any additional comments?

A is for Adam by Marc Richard is an audio book I requested and the review is voluntary. It is clever and snarky, it may offend those that don't have a humorous bone, and it really isn't a LOL story. It is a snicker here, a smirk there, a smile, a giggle, a moan, and so one. A cute story that really doesn't go anywhere but cute anyway. Worthy of a read and the narration was just right for this book.

Snarky look at Adam and Eve

This was good but I didn't laugh my ass off. It was enjoyable however.
The narrator made it come alive.

Interesting retelling of Adam & Eve.

This story was a parody. It was interesting but "not my cup of tea". If you enjoy biblical parodies give this story a read.

Funny Moments

I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.
Do not listen if you will be offended at a story that will make fun of the Biblical version of Adam and Eve. Having said that, I thought it started out funny and entertaining, and tapered off a little. It's a short story, kind of wished it was longer. The narrator did a good job with this material.

short and entertaining

This was a good entertaining short story. I liked both Adam and Eve, they were funny. David Dear did a great job narrating the story with different character voices specially the snake, I will definitely check out more of his work now. You will have to not think hard about certain aspects and just go with the flow in order to enjoy it. If you got 2 hours to kill with chuckles and a credit burning I will recommend this. “I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Funny and sarcastic religious humor

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An interestingly sarcastic and humorous take on the Adam and Eve story in the book of Genesis. As long as you're not easily offended by religious humor, you will probably find this funny. If you DO find religious humor offensive, stay away.

As a side note, the narrator was quite good too. All in all, I enjoyed this short story.

A hilarious and funny short story!

a lot of fun references, my favorite being the twilight episode about the glasses and books, Phil Collins and other multiple funny references. The plot was cute, and since we all l n ow who Adam and Eve are there was no need to flesh them out, but Marc still showed personalities in all the characters, some to fit the biblical scenarios, others were just funny. I love this author's books!
