The author’s approach in addressing this tough subject is commendable. He does a good job identifying the problem and showing that to find solutions requires a deeper understanding of the problem and an unconventional approach to solving it.
He clearly makes the case that sometimes parents require a different tool kit to help them solve this problem, and lead their children to be successful.
He does not shy away from the tough questions, the difficult interactions, and encounters that confront parents dealing with the issue, but he approaches them with empathy, and comes across as genuinely concerned for those dealing with them.
The narrator must also be commended for the job he did in articulating the thoughts and ideas laid out in the book.

Kenneth Harvey, a committed father himself, really understands what parents are going through. He’s genuinely trying to offer support to others on this challenging path, and you can feel his sincerity throughout the book.
He offers real, down-to-earth advice on managing those intense emotional outbursts that can leave both you and your child feeling exhausted. He knows what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, and his tips on creating routines and setting boundaries are easy to implement, making your day-to-day life smoother.
What I love most about this book is its emphasis on turning ADHD into a strength rather than a setback. It talks a lot about channeling your child’s high energy in constructive ways, from focusing on good nutrition to finding activities that help them release pent-up energy.
If you need reminding that you’re not alone and that things can and will get better, this book is the right place to start. Plus it will make a real difference in your child’s life!
