About this listen

When Emma witnesses a burglary in the apartment opposite, she has every intention of doing the right thing: report it and move on. However, things don’t go quite as planned. Emma is stunned to discover the apartment belongs to Lauren, her first crush who she hasn't seen in 14 years.

The return of her old amour reawakens a latent desire. Can Emma reignite the passions of her past, or will the reason Lauren left, all those years ago, tear them apart once again?

This novel was just what I needed as I've gotten into thrillers over the last few months. However, I wanted to read thrillers that included lesbians as well and I found it in this beautiful story of love shrouded in mystery. Naturally, I still failed to guess the right person for the crime but I enjoyed the chase no less. Additionally, the author chose a great narrator for this title which only made it that much better. So, if you're looking for a f/f romance and a mystery then, this is the title for you. Enjoy!

Just what I've been looking for...

After finishing this book, I’m just feeling very flat about it. I hate to disparage the work of an independent author, but I feel I missed the bus on this one. I’m not sure when Emma and Lauren fell in love, as their connection seemed lukewarm at best, despite all the talk of how deeply they had fallen for each other. The stalker storyline felt silly and overblown, especially given the resolution. I wouldn’t say there’s anything (or anybody) particularly layered or well-developed here, but the bare bones of the story were there, and Amy Putt does a good job.

Huh. Okay then.

This story was better than the one before that I read of Jade Winters. Story well written, well developed characters, a great twist in the storyline.

Better this time
