Narrators can make or break an audio book…

Well… I do love my Will Trent novels BUT:
this narration screwed it big time.
I know everyone has their individual likes and dislikes, but the way this was narrated changed the characters just by how they were read. At least for me. Sara sounds as on Valium, Faith like a stupid blonde and Will as if he was pretty … „slow“.
Also the very nasal way made it hard for me to listen.
Therefore I actually couldn’t follow the story 100%.

Bring back Kathleen Early!

Narration ruined anticipated new addition

It takes quite a lot for me to go as far as saying narration ruined a book. In this case, the disappointment was so intense that it is important to share and pre-warn anyone who is sensitive to changing narrators. The narrator of this book, Jennifer Woodward, is in stark contrast to the usual narrator of the series, Kathleen Early. This narrator tries hard to enact the characters however the tinny quality of her voice and extreme projection is unbearable. It quite literally made it impossible for me to continue to listen to this much loved series.
