About this listen

The Gray Man is back in another nonstop international thriller from number-one New York Times best-selling coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels

Fresh off his first mission back with the CIA, Court Gentry secures what seems like a cut-and-dried contract job: A group of expats in Paris hires him to kidnap the mistress of Syrian dictator Ahmed Azzam to get intel that could destabilize Azzam's regime. Court delivers Bianca Medina to the rebels, but his job doesn't end there. She soon reveals that she has given birth to a son, the only heir to Azzam's rule - and a potent threat to the Syrian president's powerful wife. Now, to get Bianca's cooperation, Court must bring her son out of Syria alive.

With the clock ticking on Bianca's life, he goes off the grid in a free-fire zone in the Middle East - and winds up in the right place at the right time to take a shot at bringing one of the most brutal dictatorships on earth to a close....

This is among one of the top of all the Court Gentry series. The plot twists and excitement pile up around every turn. The reading was fantastic, the inflection was spot-on and this voice and intonation kept me riveted throughout the entire story. This is a total must for any military Thriller readers and long commuters who want a great book as their companion on their lengthy commute like mine.

Amazing story!

I'm a huge mark greaney fan, so I wish I could write a happier review. the plot is too long, convoluted and unrealistic and is only saved by greaney's matchless ability to write gripping action scenes...

a little disappointing

This book had a good story and was topical for the times, but it did not have as much action as previous books. It picked up near the end, but was slow and boring for stretches in the beginning and middle. I have hopes for an improvement in the next one.

Slower than Normal

What aspect of Jay Snyder’s performance would you have changed?

The abundance of mispronunciations drove me crazy. Some words he pronounced 3 different ways until he stumbled his way to the correct pronunciation. How did the producers / editors not correct this?? Better yet, how does a professional narrator not research items with which he is unfamiliar?? Ugh!!!

Good book but narration is distracting

predictable in the right way and worth every minute of listening! could not pause the story and powered through it in just a few days!

Mark Greaney has managed once again to deliver another book in the Gray Man series, making each one better than the last. These books are filled with excitement. They have become harder and harder to put down. Jay Snyder also continues to be a master narrator.

Review of Agent In Place

From Paris to Syria, Cort Gentry takes on foreign bad guys and gals with non-stop action. No love story here - just ass whooping and taking names. With years of training, Cort is a walking lethal weapon bent on protecting the righteous and desimating all that is wrong with the world.

Jay Snyder does an impressive job with all the foreign dialects of both genders. Without his mastery of narration, this book would have been far less enjoyable.

A brilliant, engaging and action filled book. This book builds on the Grey Man legend, with new characters and old friends.
One of the most enjoyable books I’ve read in the last year.
5 stars from start to finish.
The performance made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Classic Grey Man, on steroids
