About this listen

Human pioneers fleeing Earth for the promised land of New Eden found hell instead, falling prey to the reptilian Kresh. But street-savvy Cyrus Gant escaped the aliens, rescued master telepath Klane, and began a desperate journey to head off the impending Kresh invasion of Earth.

When the insectile Chirr and human cyborgs join the war, Cyrus suddenly faces a triple threat. Only by absorbing the powerful consciousness of the mortally wounded Klane does he stand a chance against the deadly enemies surrounding him. But when a malevolent alien entity invades his mind, Cyrus must do battle in both outer and inner space to save his soul and his sanity.

In the thrilling sequel to Alien Honor and Alien Shores, Cyrus rolls the dice to win the biggest prize anyone has ever chased: the future of humanity.

A great story, want more

I was a fan of the Doom Star series and a huge fan of Fenris... I hope to read more stories continuing in this universe.

not bad but not good

as outers said author tried using twisted ai human lust and rape to fill in big hole in plot and using way to many time line jumps to get book to intended end point

SERIES APPARENTLY ENDS HERE

Any additional comments?

The story indicates it is still in progress. 2 1/2 years later & no further book in this series. Author, Vaughn Heppner has several other series in progress, some started after this book. I'm done buying his books till I see more of his series reach completion. It's like reading a book that is not complete, only to reach a page that says "Author gave up"

The head case...

I enjoyed the groundwork for the next book. The internal battles and the alligence created.

Slower than the 2nd book

As amazing as #2 was the 3rd one was so slow that there was times I thought I should just skip to the end. Last few chapters were great though! Damn Jeff Cummings you are a very talented narrator, amazing job!

Good Conclusion, Could Have Been Longer

This was a good conclusion to the end of this series. The author actually left it in a good place to start an offshoot series if he wanted. I think we saw a lot of story elements we've been waiting for over the past two books, and I was happy with most of the story.
I think the internal mind battle between Cyrus and the "hidden enemy" was a little bit drawn out though...
My only real disappointment was the swift ending. After the final battle of the book, there is a measly 15 minutes to wrap up the story. I wanted to hear more about how the story ended! I would have made this at least an hour, but alas, I'm not an author...
I would definitely recommend this one, especially if you liked the other two. If you haven't read the other two, I would recommend going back and starting from the beginning, because otherwise your going to be lost.
Happy listening!
