A great novel for Battle Angel fans

This is a great adaptation of the manga. While it does not follow the manga exactly it holds true to its spirit. If you loved the manga you will enjoy this audio book.

Excellent just like movie

It is like reliving the movie but with a little bit more context. I recommended if you are a fan (Of the Movie).

I totally adore the movie. this read is just as magical. warrior cyborg princess, believable.
(the reader even sounds like Christoph Waltz, lol)

Good Companion to the Movie

I had seen this movie and wanted a light book to listen to while I was backpacking. This was a very enjoyable companion to my hike. I understood a lot more of what had happened in the movie. Certain parts were predictable or highly improbable. This is not great literature but was a great escape into a different world.

Didn't See the Movie

Because I didn't see the movie I can't comment on how well it captured the plot. The narrator didn't do a very good job distinguishing the different characters, since the main character was a girl perhaps a woman would have been a betters choice. Lots of action and a little bit of tragic romance make this novel a good light read. The good versus evil did not make an appearance until almost the end of the book. There is an obvious sequel coming based on the ending.

Better than the movie

The only negative is that there should have been a female narrator to do Alita justice. So much more detail is given than in the movie, even though it's mostly a scene by scene from the movie. It's a great listen, and I highly recommend it for any Alita fans.

follows the movie really well with added details

I've seen the movie multiple times, and the anime, and still found I really enjoyed the audio book. It did a great job adding details and expanding. Really enjoyable, and great on its own I'm sure.
