This was my first Bridget Essex book and I have already grabbed some more. The storyline was excellent. The romance and love was wonderful!

The story was well written, the characters were well defined, and the book was worth the read. at times there may have been a tad too much dialogue & you would just want the book to keep going but it was well done & worth it. I am not a reader & I finished this in 3 days.

Yeah, sure. I have friends who enjoy romance books and this is the perfect kind of romance - the kind that involves a broken heart.

Would you ever listen to anything by Bridget Essex again?

Sure. In fact, I am kind of kicking myself for running out of tokens right now. :P

What about Tiana Hanson’s performance did you like?

I liked that she really became the character she was portraying. I understand that it's difficult to juggle many different voices, but at least she always committed to it - and that's - to me - more important that just being good at narration. It was consistent, she never faltered, so I can't complain too much.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where Dani and Mel talk about how they still have feelings for each other made me stop listening and go and just lie down and be moody for the rest of the day. It was very powerful. But then it was ruined by sex immediately after, so it's ups and downs.

Why werewolves? Haha.

Bridget Essex always does a wonderful job with her storyline. Her descriptive narrative helps you immerse yourself in the story without being so descriptive that you get lost in the minutia. I won't give away the story but if you enjoy a well written lesbian book with a supernatural flair, give Alpha and all of Bridget Essex's books a listen.
