About this listen

From the #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of Never Never, co-written with Colleen Hoover!

"An Honest Lie is riveting suspense, but it’s also a scream of defiance, a howl of rage."—Colleen Hoover, #1 New York Times bestselling author

They've taken your friend, but only to get to you. What do you do?

Lorraine—“Rainy”—lives at the top of Tiger Mountain. Remote, moody, cloistered in pine trees and fog, it’s a sanctuary, a new life. She can hide from the disturbing past she wants to forget.

If she’s allowed to.

When Rainy reluctantly agrees to a girls’ weekend in Vegas, she’s prepared for an exhausting parade of shots and slot machines. But after a wild night, her friend Braithe doesn’t come back to the hotel room.

And then Rainy gets the text message, sent from Braithe’s phone: someone has her. But Rainy is who they really want, and Rainy knows why.

What follows is a twisted, shocking journey on the knife-edge of life and death. If she wants to save Braithe—and herself—the only way is to step back into the past.

How far will one twin go to uncover where her “good half” has gone? Find out in Good Half Gone, #1 New York Times Bestselling author Tarryn Fisher’s next twisty psychological thriller!

Fresh and less sex more cult like. Very different. Should have been more of a 2 part book and a little more hard core/angst to get the whole thing across but I enjoyed it.

Needed to be a two partner with not angst but kept my attention and I enjoyed it

This is more a cat and mouse story rather than twisty/psychological thriller. No surprise plot twist and the ending was predictable. Not worth the credit.

Overall great listen, I don’t think I could have read this book. I feel the story took too long to get to the “good part” left you hanging in some areas and then wrapped up in 15 minutes… loved the storyline and the characters but felt somewhat choppy.

Just okay

No spoilers, don’t worry. The beginning was a little confusing because of all the characters but stick with it, you’ll catch up quickly. Also, I liked the ending - I am a big fan of stories that tie up loose ends.

Quick and twisty read

I came across Tarryn Fisher after reading “Never Never,” her series with Colleen Hoover. Boy, I’m so glad I did. I was captivated by the story from the start. I didn’t want to stop listening. Tarryn can tell a hell of a tale, and her writing is everything I look for in a fiction novel. I’m so glad Colleen and Tarryn collaborated, because now I found another great author! I can’t wait to read another one of her novels. She doesn’t disappoint. And I’m ready for more! Great stuff, from the writing to the twists and turns.

My first Tarryn Fisher book. And I’m hooked.

The story line was a little confusing so honestly zoned out here and there. Definitely not one of my favorite books of Tarryn Fisher!

Not much a psychological thriller. Kind of confusing

I quit listening because I can’t stand it when the protagonist gets in trouble because she makes an stupid move. Her kidnapping could have totally been avoided.

Quit listening at chapter 16

Some of the reviews are bashing the book, but it was good. It kept me wanting more. I’ve read/listened to enough Now/Then books to know one definitely has to Wait for it. Is there extra dialogue between the friends? Yes. Was the ending drawn out? Somewhat but at least author didn’t leave us hanging or wondering!

One thing that would have made me rate it higher is if there would have been multiple point-of-views instead of just Rainey’s. Let me inside the bad guy’s head. Explain to me the whole bar pickup/kidnapping. Definitely let me hear what her mother was thinking/doing!!

You won’t be “wasting” a credit. It’s captivating still. Narration is good. And my compliments to Tarryn for limiting her use of profanity in this one!!! Keep up the great writing!

Not a 5 but not terrible either!

So I have read several of her books, and I have found them all to be lovely, intriguing and thought provoking in the best way. This one had a bit of a slow start but once the piece’s started to fall together, it really ramped up to an ended in a finale that, though not one of her best, it was a good read (listen) I enjoyed it for sure!! For sure!!!

Love this Author!
