About this listen

In the Bone there is a house. In the house there is a girl. In the girl there is a darkness.

Margo is not like other girls. She lives in a derelict neighborhood called the Bone, in a cursed house, with her cursed mother, who hasn't spoken to her in over two years. She lives her days feeling invisible. It's not until she develops a friendship with her wheelchair-bound neighbor, Judah Grant, that things begin to change.

When a neighborhood girl, seven-year-old Neveah Anthony, goes missing, Judah sets out to help Margo uncover what happened to her. What Margo finds changes her, and with a new perspective on life she's determined to find evil and punish it - targeting rapists and child molesters one by one. But hunting evil is dangerous, and Margo risks losing everything, including her own soul.

This is another amazing book by Tarryn Fisher. I have been on a Tarryn Fisher binge since I listened to Mud Vein 4 days ago. this is my 3rd audiobook of hers since then. it was amazing. Definitely didnt disappoint!!! I love how when you think it is one thing, it turns out to be another. Can't wait to listen to more of her books!!

Good Read

This was a good read BUT not a fan of the narrator. She was very one dimensional in her tone an fit ruined for me some very sinister moments.

5 Stars

First, I didn’t know what story I was listening to (audiobook), then I thought I had it figured out, and then…. I was like, WTF this is completely different than initially anticipated, in a good way! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It kept my interest throughout and was tilde at a god pace with plenty of mystery, a few nuggets of suspense, and a few worthwhile twisty surprises. I can’t say much more with spoiling it, but I would highly recommend! The protagonist is likable, resilient, fierce, and strange. However you do empathize with her and come to understand her thought process. I’ll be thinking of this book long after I’m done with it. The audiobook narrator was awesome too!

Loved this journey!

What a trip! This excellent narration carried the story along swiftly and expertly. You can't help but love the main character and all her flaws. Only one part of the book left me slightly confused so I may return to it again to see if there was something I missed. Overall, I was fully involved in this story and wanted it to go on & on - perhaps there is a Margo part 2 in the works? I hope so.

Twisted tale

A tragic story about a twisted girl. All is not what it seems in the Bone. I like this book I look forward to reading/listen to more by Tarryn Fisher. The narrator became the character to me and that's what I like to happen when I experience an audiobook. Prepare to be entertained.

Stellar!

Wonderfully written, deep character’s that just make your think about them when you aren’t reading. Sad, painful, exhilarating. Your want to cry and cheer for them at the same time. You just never know what the book has up its sleeve!

It was weird. And that was good.

Not a lot happened but many, many things also happened. I really enjoyed the narrative, and the "wait, WHAT?" reaction I had to a key moment in the book. if you know you know.
