Good twist

The he/she mix up is distracting and annoying. It should be fixed but otherwise a good story.

slow start

This zone was a little slow I'm the beginning. But it is definitely worth the listen. I hope there will be more books to come.

DON'T STOP Reading until the very end!

Where does An Irish Promise rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

An Irish Promise is absolutely one of the best romance/mystery books I have ever read. Isabella Connor is such a talented author. There were the BEST surprises though out the story. Characters are developed well and the story flows, even with flashbacks. Her use of a diary to take the listener back in time to events is very helpful. I am now a FAN of Ms. Connor and can't wait to read another one of her novels.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It is a toss-up between Finn and Rachel as to who is my favorite character. Finn has already completed his transformation by the time the story begins, but the story has more to do with Rachel's vengeance and her growth as her actions reap fruit that she had not planned on. Eventually her willingness to forgive has the most impact in the story.

Which character – as performed by Noreen Leighton – was your favorite?

Noreen Leighton is an excellent performer of Audible books. She pauses at the onset of scene changes and chapters, uses inflection well, and pronounces word correctly. Her use of an Irish dialect is very appropriate for this book. Her reading added to the enjoyment of this book, not distracted from it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment that Rachel discovered who Finn actually was and when Rachel forgave her first bully rank equally as moments that I will remember from An Irish Promise.

Any additional comments?

Great story!

The narration was better than book 1. But this narrator frequently used “he” instead of “she” when voicing Rachel’s lines. It could be confusing at times.

Annoying

The narrator consistently confuses “she” with “he” - making it difficult to follow and extremely annoying. I couldn’t get past the 3rd chapter. Waste of money; not worth the time.
