About this listen

This edition includes books four through seven of the Irish Village Mystery series.

Book 4: Murder in an Irish Pub

When a poker player is found at the end of a rope, swinging from the rafters of Rory Mack's pub, it's up to Garda Siobhán O’Sullivan to call a killer’s bluff.

Book 5: Murder in an Irish Cottage

In a remote and superstitious Irish village, Siobhán must solve a murder where the prime suspects are fairies.

Book 6: Murder at an Irish Christmas

Siobhán’s holiday plans hit a sour note when murder rearranges yuletide carols into unexpected eulogies while she and her family are stranded by a snowstorm.

Book 7: Murder in an Irish Bookshop

The grand opening of a new bookstore in Kilbane becomes the closing chapter of an author’s life—and a whodunit that tests even Siobhán’s deductive reasoning.

Thoroughly Addicted!

I’m in LOVE with these stories! I think the readers voice is close to the voices I heard in Ireland. It’s a comfort because when I hear other readers try and speak in an Irish accent it’s jarring! It’s such a unique accent that it’s very difficult to duplicate by American or English actors. Thank you for the stories and how beautifully read it is!

Captivating

Once again the Irish mystery bundle is worth every dollar. Amazingly written stories of crime. Keeps you guessing from the start. Dara O’Sullivan is always spot on and her fiancé sergeant, Detective Flanagan has always got her back. Such a great team. Truly have loved all of this series. Carlene O’Connor does a fantastic job of twisting a mystery. Highly recommend this series. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Much better than the last.

These are real mysteries with unexpected endings. Siobhan is so much more realistic in these stories than the silly girl in number two. This was a fun ride, and I really would like to go visit that village.

Great cosy mystery, but about nuts…

I enjoyed the narrator’s wonderful Irish accent! The story was intriguing, as usual with this series. But an interesting thing about nuts- the story mentioned that one of the women had a deathly reaction to tree nuts. And then there was great concern that a man had a package of peanuts in his pocket…
Peanuts are not nuts! They are legumes. (Beans) The reason I know this is that about half of my family is allergic to peanuts and the other half is allergic to tree nuts. Our doctor explained the difference between the two! (So if you’re ever writing a mystery involving nuts… you’re in the know!)

I was ridiculously choked up at the end! Lovely story.

As always, I find these stories are always interesting and paint a wonderfully evocative picture of Ireland. I really appreciate the fabulous voice work done by the narrator as I love the way, she distinguishes characters, voices, moods, character… I cannot wait for the next group of stories to be released!

A murder mystery with a love story

I think I fell in love with Ireland, & Matara & Chevon. Sorry if those are misspelled. It was an audible book. And the storyline was delightful, even for a murder mystery. Not to mention the narrator. It was like you were in Ireland yourself. 🇮🇪
