Loved the storyline. The concept is great, I could have read a whole book about him. Only complaint being it was way too short. I guess he blended into the army that was formed, but, I lost him in the process. Actually think I shall read it again and see where he plays into the other books. Or, If he does!

Decent story line, I would not pay for this. It's more like a trailer for the actual book you would want to hear. Still good for a short listen. The reader is a little hard to hear over road noise in the car but still works with the volume turned up.

This short, but informative story fills in the gaps in Conquest. It needed to be told

Gains, the story told.

I can never get enough. Hain reborn.
The narrator and author are of the same cloth. Together they are worthy of six stars.

Masterfully Created, Wonderfully Enjoyed

I almost passed on this due to it only being a few hours long. I'm glad I give it a shot; it provides a very interesting backstory for Hanes.

Short, but worth the download

Fairly standard B.V. Larson fare (i.e. excellent) and Mark Boyett was excellent as always. This would have been better if there was more to it. I'd love to see a spinoff, but I'm guessing since it's been ??6 years?? since any Star Force material was released and that "audio drama" released in 2018 was underwhelming, I'd ass-u-me that no new Star Force novels are on the burner. :(

I'm not a short story fan, but this was good

This is my second B. V Larson book. I totally didn't want it to end. I'm sold on both the author and the narrator, Mark Boyett. I'll be purchasing and listening to many more of Larson's Star Force books.

Loved it!

Nice little escapist story complete with a fresh perspective and a mano a machine throw down that should have been on Pay Per View.
Pro ally written to be put in the series about book four. Acceptable time filler if, like all theses B V Larson Star Force books you pay a lot for the few short hours each book is chopped into.
Worth three frights. 😱😱😱 mostly because it's some fun and it's soon over.

Not Told in "First Person Idiot" Like Col Rigs! 😱

Years ago I subscribed to SiFi magazines' that had short stories. I remember some that were only a page long and occasionally some were a few pages. The attraction was that most had great plots. Today it seems that the authors shoot for many pages and it is rare that few can hold my attention. Army of one was just long enough to keep you interested and had a great plot. Way to go Larson.
