About this listen

Following in the successful footsteps of its predecessors, Around the Way Girls 6 features three popular authors presenting their versions of the tough, street-smart girls that everyone loves.

Yana and Kiki had to grow up much too fast, thanks to their mother's drug habit. They've got each other's backs, but even that might not be enough to protect them from the ruthless drug dealer who's got them under his thumb.

Connie is tired of struggling to get by, so when a shady corrections officer introduces her to a sure thing, she jumps at the chance. It doesn't take long, though, for her to recognize that her new hustle is bringing more drama than she bargained for.

Quiana wants nothing more than to do the right thing. After bearing witness to her mother's heinous murder at the hands of her drug-addicted boyfriend, she is struggling with the ramifications of losing the only person in the world who truly loved her.

The stories are good and I even like the narrator HOWEVER I keep hearing her swallow and it’s getting to be 🤦🏾‍♀️

It’s starting to get to me

This Book had different stories that were good urban fiction. Stories that kept me interested and I would listen 👂 to the stories from sun up to sun down.

Another Good Book

Is it bad that I want one of these characters to take the narrator out? Ida Belle needs another, more suitable line of work because this ain't it. She kept going back and forth with one of the characters name, sometimes calling him Ton, and others, calling him Tone. The reading and rereading of lines (literally every 5 minutes) was driving me up the wall. But what was REALLY killing me was the swallowing and reading with candy or something in her mouth. So unprofessional. Not to mention the over exaggeration of the characters which also happened a lot. Any other books read by this lady have lost a reader in me. I couldn't even finish this one. You'd be better off hiring someone else (Like iiKane or Nicole Small) to reread these stories again. The storylines are good but a narrator can either make, or break a book. Ida Belle broke this book into little tiny pieces! 👎🏾

I CAN'T WITH THE NARRATOR!

I love these short stories and I can’t wait to listen to more of them

The books were great but the reading of the story was bad. She kept miss reading and it kept repeating several times.

Nice!

I couldn’t even enjoy the book because she continues to yell. It be catching me off guard scaring me plus she has no range. It sounds like the same person through the whole storage.

Did the narrator have to scream through the whole effing book?

The narrator was one of the worst I have ever heard. There was repeated lines, which was aggravating.
Another thing is, in this series of books, it seems like there's lesbian activity in each one. I promise I could care about who do what with who in this world, but what happened to men & women in books. If I had been warned before starting any of these listens, I would not have bothered listening.
I don't want to hear about women on women. And yes I stopped listening as soon as I heard where it was going.

Worst

There 's a lot of repeated sentences! I'm thinking that's Narrator error! The narrator also has this high pitched squeal that's deafening! There also seen to be a lot of deportation cuz one minute you're at a funeral and the next minute you're at the airport!

Repeat

I thought the story was good but the narrator kept repeating the first couple words of sentences. She would for example say, "There is a lot, there is a lot of repeating in this audiobook." I don't know if she lost her place or if it happenedduring the editing. Either way it's annoying because it kinda sounds like an echo... lol

Too much repeating by the narrator...

In one of the story's, the narrator kept reading the same lines over and over
