About this listen

I had always been the invisible art student in high school. Passed by. Glossed over. Unnoticed. Now I was Aria Watson...that girl.

After one bad decision, and being labeled a slut, I was no longer unseen. I was the whore. The ignoramus. The tramp.

I would never be invisible again. Particularly to Levi Myers. He was the odd boy with the beautiful soul who accepted and understood the broken girl inside me.

Falling in love wasn't the plan. But how could I resist his promises of hope? Of forgiveness? Of a future I had stopped dreaming of? We were shattered. We were scarred. We were something strange and beautiful. We were two lost souls holding on to the only thing that could keep us together. Each other.

She did it again!

Brittainy Cherry writes the best stories. She did it again with this one. This is not a common love story, but definitely a love story. so if you're looking for a different storyline, one that you haven't already heard - check this one out. I wasn't sure about the performances at first, but ended up loving them.

Soul-touching and Heartfelt

I love a really good heartfelt young romance. And that is what this was. Levi is desparately grabbing for a connection to the eatranged father he can't quite figure out. Aria wants to be invisible to the world as she goes through the next horrendous year, but what she really wants is to be truly and unconditionally loved.
Paired up for a school project, Levi's musical talent and Aria's painting skills pull them together and a unique friendship develops. Along with their closest friends, they navigate through the toughest year of their lives in a school that knows no bounds for cruelty.

This story was just so well written. Fully developed characters with relatable real-world problems plaguing today's youths, there was a beautifully broken undercurrent to each one of the kids but was offset by strength of will and unflattering convictions that made them survivalists.
This is the first time I have listened to the narrators Bailey Carr and Scott Aiello. They did an amazing job of bringing out the souls of the characters.

Great Story, Great Narration!

I loved this book. I loved that it was a YA with real life type of problems and that the characters were 16 years old and didn't act like it. The story line may have been a little heavy, maybe even a bit over the top with just how much could happen to 2 teenagers but with that said I love how they dealt with all of it. It was a love story about 2 people who became adults maybe to young but they grabbed on with both hands and tried to do the best with what they had. I enjoyed the friendships, the family drama and I loved that the main characters were exactly what the other needed. This book made me cry, made me laugh and made my heart all around happy. I listened to this book for a book club discussion and honesty this is a perfect discussion book with so many different things to talk about. This is my 2nd book by this author and I've loved them both and plan to continue with her books right away.

The narration of this audiobook was perfect. I loved both of them!

I LOVED IT, TRULY LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Art & Soul the most enjoyable?

It was a wonderful story, well written and narrated...I truly loved it!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Aria and Levi...both of them were wonderful!

Which scene was your favorite?

The funeral, and the Art show!!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This would be a beautiful movie!!

Any additional comments?

I listened to this for book club, and am overwhelmed at how much I loved this!! This was not something I would have chosen for myself..and I am so glad I found it! This is Aria and Levi's story...2 young people who found each other when then truly needed someone else and fell in love..it was almost destiny!! For a teenage set book, this was pleasantly great...very maturely written and I just did not want it to end...I listened and listened and did not want to put it down! I look forward to more from this author and I highly recommend this book...you will love it, I cried both tears of joy and sadness and am putting this on my all time faves list!!!!

One of the best books I've read in a loooong time!! I laughed & cried from it. Amazing is the only word to describe it.
Great narrators on both parts too, which is sometimes hard to find in audible.

Incredible

I am not a big fan of the young high school reads but after reading some reviews...I am glad I did. This was over the top pronominal One loaner and one new comer who was fawned over by many but only one sad soul caught his attention. The narration was great. Thank you for a touching read that could be many real situations.

Great story from an excellent title!

I thought this might be a “fluff” little story but it was much more. The teens in this story have true obstacles to overcome and make some good decisions and some not so good. But the story was worth listening to and I recommended to my daughter, who is 19. But I think it would be enjoyable for any age.
